Speaking of trophies I got the last one for Pac-Man CE
X last night. And I'm now ranked in the top 750 scores. It's only a matter of time till I'm officially the world's great Pac-Man player. . . . AGAIN!
Did you get a platinum trophy for your efforts? I've had a PS3 coming onto 4 years now and I still don't have a single platinum
You got one in less than a month?
___
Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
I don't think so. There were only 15 trophies total and all but one were bronze. I'll double check again but I'm pretty sure no platinum ones showed up.
you have some mad pacman skills
You're damn right I am!!
Actually it's been a nice ego boost to find a game that I can play at a high level again. Over the past couple years I routinely get my ass handed to me in fighting games. Action games have gotten pretty tough (god knows how pathetic I must have been in Monster Hunter Tri). Hell even recently I've had troubles with Assassin's Creed. I feel like everything in that game has been a struggle. I've really felt that I lost an edge that I once had as a teen or even when I was in my 20's. So finding this game and being able to post high scores in it has been a real pleasant change of pace for me.
i understand how that goes i have been finding out that the older i get the less patience i have for games and the harder they seem but its most likely a mental block in my brain
Most, perhaps, but not all. My favourite online game ever was Rainbow Six, which simply would not work at all with drop-in-drop-out. It also doesn't much sense in racing games.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileThe lawsuit is not predicated on piracy or enabling piracy, but rather the anti-circumvention protections in the DMCA that restrict the freedom to break "digital locks". It's Sony effectively saying that you can only use your console for what we want you to, and enforcing that by law.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileOh Pachter.
It would work just fine, just have "late" players enter as a spectator until the round/race is done, a waiting risk you can be able to choose to take with a simple option switch. Drop in/out works just fine on PC with Counter-Strike and its countless faster or slower paced clones, where you have one life each round and then wait for the match to finish, why would it not work for Rainbow Six? Granted it's slower paced than Counter-Strike but people into such games expect that kind of waiting to occur anyway, otherwise they'd play COD. I haven't played Rainbow Six: Raven Shield in years but I'm fairly sure that's how it worked also, as well as Ghost Recon (the first, which was basically military Rainbow Six, rather than arcade shooters like GRAW).
It could be an optional aspect I suppose. Unless you meant the co-op side. I guess there's less reason to have drop in/out there but it could still work out, just have the AI fill in for exiting players, and new players take control of unused AI. On join they could also go in a first person spectator mode and choose when exactly to take control of the AI, so it doesn't happen suddenly in the middle of combat before they even realise what level it is they're in.

From the story above on Infinity Ward:
In a document shown in Activision's amended cross-complaint, EA's senior director of global marketing Lincoln Hershberger sent an email titled "The Fall of IW?" to EA SVP of marketing Jeff Karp, EA LA general manager Sean Decker, EA Europe SVP Patrick Soderlund and EA Games label president Frank Gibeau.
Copied in the email was Karl-Magnuss Troedsson, executive producer of the Battlefield franchise.
The email was sent on March 3, 2010, the day after news broke that Activision had removed West and Zampella from their positions under accusations of insubordination.
Hershberger allegedly wrote in the email: "A couple months ago, I asked Vince [Zampella] to hold back their map pack [allegedly Modern Warfare 2's Stimulus Package.] Until after we launched (he owes me one). Given that they've already made a billion, he was cool with that, obviously [Activision CEO Bobby] Kotick took it as being belligerent."
Activision's Stimulus Package launched on Xbox Live March 30, 2010. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 launched a few weeks earlier on March 2.
EA spokesman Jeff Brown told Kotaku that the email was meant to be a joke. "This was obviously sarcasm," he said. "It's clear from the email this was a joke and they never spoke. We explained this to lawyers at Activision -- who apparently don't have much of a sense of humor."
Activision's cross-complaint said EA's motive was to "boost its competing but less successful FPS franchise."
I was taking you as saying they should be able to join and play in the ongoing match, which is an option in some online games.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileDoubt it. Most PSN games don't have platniums, though there are some that do (Wipeout HD, Dead Nation, one of the Worms games).
Robio, the best tip I can give you for a platnium is the Mega Drive/Genesis collection. I can guarantee you it's an easy platnium. It's the only plat I have, but my third 100% for trophies (other two being one of the Sam & Max games and After Burner Climax).
I was just not seeing the reason you need to start a lobby with people who want to start playing that same moment you do, and wait to fill the roster, and whatever, instead of just connect to ongoing matches as long as they have player slots open, to eliminate waiting. Players wouldn't have to wait to fill the roster to start the match, newly connecting players would just connect to a game and the time they'd wait in a lobby would be time waiting to spawn or for a round to be over instead. Spectating would just be for games where entering in the middle of a match isn't as viable. For most games, with their respawn systems and what not, it is. Spectating is still more fun than waiting for 10 people to connect to your lobby, and it would probably not be as long a wait most of the time. And it still counts as drop in/out really, spectating functions exist in such games for when you die.

So the new firmware update for the 360 stops those with pirated and hacked copies of Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops. Sweet.
More hiring for the next Halo project is awesome to hear.More news about 3DS battery life
How's the battery power?
The system will take about 3 1/2 hours to charge and then last about three to five hours on a full charge. That's with the 3D effects activated. The company guesses that people who keep the 3D turned off could get as many as eight hours. Turning off the system's wireless via a switch, lowering its brightness settings or even running it in a dimmer power-save mode will all help the machine last longer. The system charges off of a power cord or while sitting in a plugged-in "cradle."
I think when you turn off the 3D, half of the pixels will be shut down. That would explain the increase of battery life. Also shut down the wireless that will eat your battery fast. So than the only thing that remains is the price, which will eventually drop.
