Just received an Email from Microsoft, and Xbox live rewards if I buy an Xbox one from Sept. 22 thru Oct 6 I get 50,000 Xbox reward credits! Anyone else get this offer?
My copy of Super Mario 3D Land still works after going through the laundry. My nephew borrowed it and for some reason left it in his pockets and my sister caught it after it went through both the washer and the dryer.
I told her if it doesn't work he is using his birthday money to replace it. But it still works and he is never borrowing one of my games ever again.
I guess you can say I deserve this after wanting action FF but I think no one deserves this. Well carnage beat me, the game will have one button combat… WTF!!!! FUCK YOU!!!!
Tabata's also in pursuit of a Final Fantasy that's not as overwhelming as its predecessors, and one that can be enjoyed by a broader audience. "With Final Fantasy 15, I do want to make it more casual," he says. "Of course the depth of the game is going to be there, but I want to make it so players can easily experience the satisfaction of the depth of the game." There's an option to set that car to drive itself, allowing players to sit back and take in the sights - although there is also an option to drive it manually, should they want to engage more fully with the world.
"Another example is in the combat," explains Tabata. "With the hardware specifications of the newer consoles, it's possible to set it up so you have different enemies and different choices of attacks you can enter in, but I want to simplify that. It'll basically be a one-button action, and the AI intuitively outputs an action that kind of satisfies, gives you that instant gratification, and it connects with the simple touch of a button. I myself am not getting any younger. I don't want to be frantically pushing buttons. I also want to utilise the intelligence of the hardware spec, and not have to go through too much hassle or trouble in order to execute moves."
It sounds horrible. I am hoping that is a casual mode option like the auto driving and you can turn it off and have full tactical control. We shall see.

At least we get a demo to try it out.
Sounds to me that it's just different animations linked to a single button press, depending on what kind of attack would be appropriate, and not neccessairily a case of oversimplifying things. Recalls Xenoblade to me, with a lot depending on where you are in relation to your enemy (something he explicitly mentionned in the article), and cycling through attacks with a cooldown, instead of hammering out combo's à la Platinum games.

Is it strange that I have TWO console games at the moment and I am FINE with that?
Destiny and Diablo, two games as different as they can be, but still sharing some things in common. They seem to satisfy all I need in gaming right now.

I dropped Advance Wars DS in the toilet. It still worked perfectly after I took it out and washed it. Great game too!!

This won't be the first Final Fantasy that allowed you to go through the entire game by just pressing one button. I don't see the difference here.
Didn't get a chance to do this over the weekend, well, because I didn't play anything over the weekend! This, however, is what I have been playing all day today:
This game has been the best reason yet to own a PS4, and it simply has everything I love in games all rolled into one. The Leveling, the Loot, the Social Aspects and the Gun Play all add up to something that comes ever so close to Borderlands 2... The MMO stuff thrown on top of all that is just icing on the cake! I don't understand the hate it is getting, but then again, you know what? I don't want to understand. I don't think the haters know why they hate it either. There's a dark road these non-gamers are going down that will lead to nothing ever being good enough and ultimatly these people will become both boring and bored and will wander off to hate something else about life in general... Really, it's their destiny...

I dunno, the criticism seems pretty clear from what I've read about it: great mechanics let down by comparatively shallow equipment system that has little tangible effect on gameplay, awful communication system, and repetitive and hollow structure/level design. I can't say if I agree with that given I've not played it and have no interest in playing it, but clearly the criticism towards Destiny is cogent, whether or not it's accurate.

Well after looking into it a bit this is not really exciting enough to entice me to buy it seems its somewhere inbetween 30 and 40 bucks ... bah

SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
Mmmm. Sausage.
Wow, Blizzard just cancelled 'Titan', an MMO they've been working for years because they didn't find it fun.

Good...enough with the MMO's for cryin' out loud.

One button combat LOL, less advanced then Assassins Creeds 2 button combat. Parry, kill.

On that note I've been diving in AC4, I was enjoying it till they introduced sharks.
I dropped Advance Wars DS in the toilet. It still worked perfectly after I took it out and washed it. Great game too!!

Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
And now the world belongs to EverQuest Next. MWUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

This is what you get for condoning shite like Final Fantasy XII. Let's not pretend there isn't a progression here.
