I have been playing KOTOR. I started a playthrough a while back, but somehow it got lost during a HDD wipe. I didn't get too far in it anyway. Right now I have both KOTOR games installed on Steam, the second one of them properly modded and patched to turn it into an actual game instead of the wobbly unfinished mess Obsidian came up with, so I figured (after trying for a bit to get into the pretty but dull Sacred 2) it would be neat to play both games back to back. I'm probably 7-8 hours in and the game has been fun so far. The combat is clunky and the inventory (and menu system as a whole) is an aggravation, but the game captures the vibe of the classic SW movies, the characters are varied and fun to mess around with, the dialogue has enough options to be entertaining and the story is slowly starting to drag me in. It has aged somewhat gracefully too, although that might be because I'm forcing AA and AF up the wazoo through my videocard control panel. Still, it's not hard on the eyes.
Does Walmart even sell home consoles anymore? For the past month, I have not seen a single home console for sale at my local Walmart; only 3DS, Vita, and an unplayable Xbone demo unit. I went there to get a a couple T-shirts, and could not help but to see if they had any PS4s available, lol.
I can't remember what I've been playing, but yesterday I continued The Last of Us after putting it on hold for WWE 2K14...so I suppose I was playing that too? And Journey of a Roach? Or was that last week?
In any case, The Last of Us is set in Venice, right? The Walking Dead "reference" scene was even worse than it was in The Walking Dead. Which was quite an achievement. The black kid better prostitute himself too.
I think you also have to take in to account the recent (as in last-gen) shift towards multiple SKU's. Prior to those, you knew that the only 'risk' you were taking by buying a console on launch, was that it's become cheaper over time. Now you also have to take into account that there will be console revisions, resulting in sturdier hardware and higher capacity HDD's, which will go on sale at a lower price then what you'd pay at launch.
It's not only good launch games, it's also the knowledge that first gen hardware these days have a tendency of breaking faster (Sony and MS at least), and that you're getting less spacious HDD's.

Joe Mad's take on Link (most of you know him from Darksiders)
"Xbone cases put disc at wrong side"
Seemed like change for the hell of it to me at first, but when you think of it, this makes it easier to take out the disc with your right hand. Not that I have ever had problems fumbling the disc into the slot with my left hand, but still. It'll mean some getting used too however, since the balance of the case+disc has shifted from right to left.
$150.000 in medical bills?! Because she was hit by a car? Seriously, without wanting to start a political debate, that right there is why the US needs something like ObamaCare.
Of all the cosplay costumes I've seen, I don't think any cracked me up like this one from Blizzcon 2013
Hubba-hubba!
...this one, however, wins the internetz for ever and all time!
!
You bought a PC?
LMAO....just kidding.
Yep that poison pick completely wins the cosplay of the year award in my book. I remember trying to explain Poison's full background to two younger ladies who dressed in that costume a year or two ago, simply because they liked the costume. They thought I was an asshole.
And I'd like to take this opportunity to once again say FUCK JOE MADUREIRA.
Were they wrong?
No, but they didn't know me well enough to make that call yet. It's like math. You have to be able to show your work.
LOL....fuckin' haters.
Hmmmm. Original 3DS's for €125. That's cheaper then a 2DS, or a whole D for free.
Any reasons why I would want a 3DS xl over a regular 3DS?
I have both and I prefer the original 3DS. Unless you really need a bigger screen for some reason, the original is a better size for a handheld machine and the games look sharper
