The face buttons and d-pad (which I don't think I've ever used for any game) are a little too hard to press on the original 3DS.  That's the only downside if I had to think of one.  Other than that I like it better than my XL.  It's much more comfortable to hold (for my hands) and it's significantly less heavy which is important if you plan on playing it for lengthy periods.  I prefer the shiny top as well.  The XL is supposed to have a somewhat better battery but I never noticed.  And I don't have many complaints on the original's battery as I don't like to play on the brightest setting

My exp:

- 2DS has better top screen (no 3d film over the top of it).

- 2DS has better battery life and crisper screens.

- 3DS XL is a pain to hold for long periods

- 3DS has stretched out graphics

However mrs. aspro perfers the 3DS' larger screen and has no problem with gaming with it for long periods of time.  So I guess it is all just personal taste.

She actually plays the thing too (like 5 hours a day) as opposed to me, who is yet to play a 3DS game for more than 5 minutes.

So basically both the 3DS and XL are uncomfortable, but everyone has their own favorite.

Now that's helpfull    As for the 2DS, I would only consider it if it was much cheaper then a 3DS.  With the current promotion, the 3DS is actually €4 cheaper than the 2DS.  It's a whole D for free!

So after more than a week of Wii U playing, I decided to play some more Uncharted 2 on PS3-- Ah, the Dual Shock 3 controller! Oh, how I missed thee! Going from the Upad back to the DS3 is crazy awesome. I sooo prefer small controllers. I may have to get that Pro controller after all.

Anyway, I was playing a level in Uncharted 2 where Drake was stuck hanging off a sign pole, and being attacked by groups of thugs. Near the end of this battle, I noticed that I was running dangerously low on ammo. In fact, I had three guys left, and only two bullets in my gun. I managed to kill one of the guys, but that left the other two and an empty gun. But wait! Somehow my empty gun magically generated more ammo! -- 24 more rounds! Fuck yeah! But where did this new found ammo come from? Did Drake pull a clip out of his ass when I wasn't looking? O_0

Well, I ordered a white 3DS.  Mind you, not some girly 'pearl' white, no.  A manly 'snow' white.  Yeah...  Other options were black (bOring), red (girly) and pink (for the extremely self assured)

Here's hoping it'll arrive in time for tLoZ:ALBW this Friday    And after that I'm thinking I'll pick up LMM.

I think Nintendo pulled out the only game I'd be willing to get a handheld for.  I mean, I managed to ignore Mario Kart 7, I abstained from getting one for 3D Land, and didn't cave to temptation when a new LM game was announced.

A successor to my all-time favorite game however, is not something I can pass up on.  The only other games I could see myself not being able to resist would be a new (proper) F-Zero, WaveRace of 1080°.  And of course the awesome deal helped as well.
