It's such a shame. I hate seeing any small or mid-level developer go under.
No news updates from me today folks, I need to heavily invest some time in RAGE.
Speaking of Bayonetta sequels, has there been any news as of late on Sega's future publishing plans?
The Wii U Controller and Gamers' Resistance to Change
Interesting read. Probably true for most gamers. Personally, I don't like the Wii U controller, because I don't see any need for it. I fully embraced the Wii Remote, even considered motion controls to be the future of gaming when it came out (lol), so I'm certainly not resistant to change. Perhaps my opinion will be different after E3, but at the moment, it just seems like a lazy gimmick to cash-in on the iPad craze. We'll see.
Hmm, I would definitely say you're a rare case. Only because you were excited about the Wii remote. I kind of see where you're coming from though. It's not the game changer that the Wii remote is. But at the same time I think it's all that and much more.
I also think it's interesting that Nintendo went the tablet route. I remember some quotes from them saying not to expect them to do something dramatic with the controller next time, but here we are. Thanks for checking out the article, btw.
lol I just realised that porn article you lot were talking about before involved Zim-fucking-bardo. He's gone from torturing people to forcing them to play video games and watch porn? That's a shame.
Nintendo's kind of gone back to a normal controller standard, yet with a new twist with the touch screen in it at the same time. I think its going to be awesome. I'm much less concerned about this controller than I was for the Wii remote, in terms of usability. Its like the modern evolution of the Dreamcast idea (which I can't believe was never followed up on until now) of having a useful screen directly on your control pad.
Remove the screen, and Nintendo's controller is just a basic game controller.
^ ARGH! As much as I loved the DC, I loathed that god-awful controller. When Sega designed that thing, they must have said, "Ergonomics? What's that?" I went so far as buying a Dual Shock-to-DC adapter just to rid myself of that god-awful controller.
Right there with you Hampster. I hated the DC controller. I could never get used to using it. I do have a better feeling about the Wii U tablet though, since I've been using a tablet for almost a year now and have gotten used to holding one.
You and I both brother. I know most people hated it but every friend I had here who had a wii ended up buying a copy of Madworld after they got to try it from me. And loved it

Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
I'll third the Madworld love...love might be too strong a word, but even with its flaws it was definitely all sorts of kickarse.
Regardless of the ergonomics, the screen in the controller was a genius idea. Maybe the best idea SEGA ever had (outside of an online console).
Seriously? I never saw any good uses for that screen; it was just another failed Sega gimmick to me.
Rip of what? It's made by the Panzer Dragoon guy.
Crazy as fuck nonscensical cutscenes, weirdly disconnected controls.
I didnt know there was a Panzer Dragoon guy. I know the team that worked on it. Well then its Panzer Dragoon in everything but name then. Sega is so stupid to let this franchise disappear.
Seeing health in RE. Calling football plays on it. The little SA mini games. It was awesome.
Its a rumor for now but i have seen enough evidence to call it true. Sony will have a streaming gaming on the PS3 through one of those two companies. That PS+ thing they were talking about is most likely to try the service out for free. Not that it would work for me.
From Sony's E3 site.
Let the photoshops begin!
Well it is Gaikai then, never heard of them. Streaming games on a console and probably on Vita as well. Thoughts on this? Not many will get to use it, too few to make a big impact. This will be way better than renting games though (or buying used).
