I haven't been playing anything, been doing lots of house stuff these past couple days. We're having a big family party with people coming here from a few different cities, so I have to make sure everything is alright.

Excellent, Yeah, I have that version too, though no Move controller, so never tried it.  The main game is as good as the first IMO, though some say it is more actiony and less horror than the first.

Played some of Sly 2.  Just over half way through but I'm afraid I want this game to end already.  I don't understand who had the great idea of changing this from the sweet platformer that was the original, to a boring task/quest based GTA (without the driving) type game where you have to spend too long in each given hub area and where most missions are fetch quests as opposed to platforming levels.  The first game was short, but so sweet.  This is longer but much more boring and less fun.

Also been playing a little bit of Rhythm Thief on and off on the 3DS.  I'm somewhat disappointed with this game.  Not sure why but I expected quite a bit more.  It looks great, with nice Professor Layton style graphics and direction with the 3D screen used to great effect (purely aesthetically).  The rhythm games are more Rhythm Heaven than Ouendan using various types of input mechanics (sometimes touchscreen, sometimes face buttons, and sometimes ... and this is the most annoying ... twisting this or that way to use the gyroskope).  The story is third rate professor layton type thing.  Not too happy I payed full price for this.

Gearbox's Randy Pitchford said about Wii U:

Nintendo's Wii U is going to come out soon and we are really excited about this platform because when we got briefed on it and we got to play with it and I got my hands on the controls I was like: Wow this is the best controller I've ever had from Nintendo for a hardcore first person shooter. Like of all... for all the controllers, forget about the Wii or Wii U, it's like the best shooter controller we've had from Nintendo.

The Wii U IS a next generation system, it's coming now, it isn't even out yet and we've had our 360s and PS3s for a while, so it's natural that it's a very powerful system. It's up to Nintendo to talk about their system and they haven't revealed all of their details yet but so far we have been thrilled with it. It's pretty clear to us that the best looking console version of Aliens is going to be on Wii U. Having said that we wanted to be careful we don't want to have completely different games. So it is the same game on all platforms. Now the Wii U is a more powerful machine so if you are an early adopter and you have the disposable income maybe that is something you want to look at. It does have the added advantage of having a touch screen built in that gives us interface options just not possible on other platforms.

It has a motion sensitive motion tracker which is pretty cool.

Well that's pretty clear about Wii U's power, can't really argue, he specifically says it's more powerful than 360/PS3, says it's very powerful and says that the Wii U version will be the best looking version. You can't really argue with that, although I'm sure GAF will find a way.
