Also you'll be pleased to know that I have decided to take my GBC tomorrow in the cabin with me for my flight (OK as well as my trusted DS)

... and guess what's in the slot right now (and will remain indefinitely) ... yep you know it .  Problem is, the cartridge battery is dead so it doesn't hold the save game which means I can't switch it off

Well hope you appreciate the honesty, because I am going to be honest right now.

Agnates (yes I know you did not mention names, but we know it is about him) did nothing wrong. Talking to Aspro lately felt like walking on eggshells. Just asking simple questions could make him explode and claim that you are attacking him personally. I had two of these encounters with him also, but I can be diplomatic when I want to and let him slide. Agnates did not, and that is his right. Just because we know Aspro longer does not mean we should throw Agnates under the bus.

Hopefully Aspro will return and be more relaxed, but that is up to him.

When Aspro, Edge, Steel, Ask, Archie, Vader and (If I remember correctly) Robio have all been pushed to the point of arguing, cursing and (in some cases) having to walk away for a while, I sincerely doubt it was all THEIR faults. There's throwing someone under the bus, and then there's this... Maybe Aspro has been extra-sensitive lately, but STEEL AND ARCHIE? That's like pissing off dolphins. By their very natures, it should be impossible, and yet it's been done.

Again, I didn't say anything about aspro until he implied I was upset just because I wrote what I thought of the topic, for which I called him silly. What an insult, huh? His claims that I denigrate him were completely out of nowhere and I only really confronted him after his little farewell speech, not before. I didn't ask for the news to be changed or whatever else was implied, I was merely discussing the subject in question, saying I personally find it stupid and ridiculous and obviously fake, that I don't think it's big news and whatever else I had to say about it. I fail to see why his reaction was what it was, as if he was the original author or had some other attachment to it. I said nothing about aspro, his news posting, his choices, or whatever other than the topic and what I thought of it and it alone. If you want to claim it's my fault because you and/or your friends got pissed off at some point, sure, go ahead and claim that, but that doesn't change facts. That is all I'll say about it.

I need to say this as I feel I have to be open with everyone here and also because of my own personal sense of justice.  I agree fully with what Iga had to say in his last message.  After Aspro's departure, I read the exchange with Agnates which seemingly prompted it numerous times but I failed to see what was inflamatory or even contestible in it.

Also Leo I don't think your last comment is fair.  Even if it were true that Agnates was involved in spats with all the people you mentioned (which I personally don't remember - except for heated but civil disagreements with Vader and Archie), it makes no logical sense to judge someone on a current argument (if it can even be called that) based on prior things.

That is all.  If Aspro decides that he wants to cut himself off from all, including us, it will be very sad indeed but it is his own personal decision.  To try and lay blame for it on someone else though would be wrong and unfair.

Well I am in quite a pickle.  The last two DS games I give a crap about are due out in the next two months. Layton and DQM: J2.  I even have DQM pre-ordered with money down. The problem unfortunately is that I don't have a system to play it on. Not a reliable one anyway. Technically I have my DS Lite still, but that damn thing has some sort of glitch in it so that it randomly shuts off. Decision time.... I either need to throw down for a 3DS which I'm still not sold on, or a used DS that I likely won't play past this year.  

Even a cheap DS is around $90. That's quite a bit for two games.
