So they currently have the Xbox One version of Alien: Isolation on sale in the Xbox Live Marketplace. Just the game for $7.50 or game plus all dlc for $10. Should I get this?

So I've put Xenoblade on slight hold because I'm trying to finish one more game this year. And that game, is Dark fucking Cloud!
While it sucks having to rebuy PS2 games for 10 to 15 dollars instead of being able to plop a disc in the system, I gotta say, if you want to replay or play for the first time any PS2 titles, THIS is definitely the way to do it. The PS4 versions look GREAT. As great as they did on a really nice CRT with S-video back in the day. And you get to play them on the much better PS4 controller and earn trophies along the way.
I'm not sure if every game works the same, but for Dark Cloud they use the touch pad for select and start (by hitting either side of the pad) which works great. And you can still take screenshots or post videos just like a normal PS4 game. Really cool. The only bad thing I've noticed at all is in a few cutscenes, there's a weird line that will go through the picture. But no big deal.
Oh for fuck's sake!!! The chapter 14 battle with Jeanne? Jesus christ I've never even considered a boss battle being this hard. I appreciate that little nod to nights at the start, but the rest of this is a nightmare.
It's kinda hard to tell here because of the nature of video captures, but Dark Souls II for the PS4 is a VAST improvement over the PS3 version! Absolutely everything is sharper and the game controls faster and more precisely by the fps upgrade. If you haven't played it to death on last gen already, this version looks better, has all the DLC and is without a doubt the definitive version of this game!

It is amongst my first batch of PS4 games (which should hopefully be here within a week or two) alongside Bloodborne and Diablo III. I bought it because I remembered you saying how totally different and better it felt than the PS3 version (which I played very little anyway).
Can't wait for your reactions to Bloodborne! I love the game too, but I tend to be more of a magical player than melee. Bloodborne doesn't allow for that type of play though, for the most part, but it's incredible nonetheless!
Can't wait to play Dark Souls III though to see the best of both worlds! (Graphics of Bloodborne, gameplay of Souls!)
You've got yourself an ass-kicking bunch of games there!! Those should last you most of 2016, if you want them to!
That is my thinking too. It's sort of what I want. More time with fewer games. Take my time, let it sink in. The way I haven't done since the first Dark Souls. I reckon by the time I'm done with these, there'll be Witcher 3 GOTY and Fallout 4 GOTY waiting. These will tide me over for a very long time, don't really need a lot of games.

I am much the same. I played Demons Souls with a magic build for the most-part and I was first a pyromancer in Dark Souls ... before I became everything else. I am a slow, deliberate player at those games. I look at Bloodborne as something of a challenge. To take me out of my comfort zone a little bit. Teach me new tricks ... old dog that I am.
I really like The Swapper but some of the later puzzles are tough. Thankfully you can warp between points but there comes a point where I wish there was faster running or a normal stage select mode to get between them.
That is amazing!

Here's a video of the PS3 version around the same areas to compare!

What's with the new pace of release of the GameUnder Podcasts? I'm still in the middle of episode 80...
But 81 was released according to the old bi-weekly schedule, not the new weekly one!
