You can whang baseballs at people.
Pitching a baseball is as easy as running into it and releasing dash to throw. Unlike flung shells, Mario can catch rebounding balls and fling them again. Bounce one off multiple Goombas heads in quick succession to earn mega points and a tasty 1-Up. But before acting like the next Mitts Throwball (legendary pitcher for the Woking Bagpipes), be warned that Mario's weakened, short-arse form isn't so reliable. Try catching a ricocheting ball now and it'll crack him in the face and send him flying. Think of it as revenge for those mediocre Super Sluggers games.
You Scratch My Itch
New Nintendo multiplayer games mean finding new ways to be a git. Throwing 'friends' down pits is a bit New Super Mario Bros. Wii; our new git's trick is using Cat Mario's claw attacks to reroute Bullet Bills into the competition. A scratched missile travels at an angle, enabling you to set friends up for a world of pain. So evil, real cats would approve.
I want to be excited for 3D World....
For anyone interested:
Puppeteer has a whimsy to it almost like LittleMehPlanet. It's a platformer, it has a kinda cool "head" mechanics to it where switching your head gives you different special powers. At first the heads act like "lives" and losing all of them means "Game Over." Eventually though, you get special heads with Special Skills and Powers. The Presentation of this game is almost unlike ANY other; it is staged and read like a Japanese Puppet show. Narrator has an english accent and all sorts of non-sensical things happen, but... WOW! ...some of the visuals and effects are REALLY unique and AWESOME! I swear the whole thing seems as if it was made in the LBP **meh!** game editor, but don't hold that against it! It actually controls better than that series, and reviews have been pretty positive so far. For $39.99, I think it is well worth it!
I think I have found the one major flaw in Rayman Legends. These boss battles are terrible. Granted I've only gone through the first two, so it may be too early to make that call, but so far I can completely tell they were added after the main game had been completed. They absolutely feel tacked on.
You realise the guy with an English accent in Little Big Planet is Stephen fucking Fry right, Leo?
I love them.
Stephen Fry was the greatest thing about the game

Undoubtedly. You can't compare some random dude with an English accent to him. Geez.
Stephen Fry is the greatest thing about mankind.
I think the thing with SSB is that it can be both an insanely addictive party game and a serious, skill-demanding fighter. People who aren't into gaming will recognize some of the characters, pick a favorite, spam the hell out of it and get in a couple of wins. Pit 2 seasoned gamers against eachother in a limited lives game however, and it can be a tense fight. It's a very versatile game, dunked deep into Nintendo memorabilia.
No hyperbole.
None intended.

Stephen Fry worship?!
Blasphemers!! Thou shall worship only Iga.

GS has a few others that feel about the same as me. Obviously there are a bunch of people who love it but its not a game that is as universally loved as some of the best are.
No they are not. Legends has separate levels for speed, these are very tiny almost challenge level like. In origins you play the exact same level but you have to beat it in a certain time. That means you have to do the entire level super fast, which leads to a whole new way to approach the level. It's all optional.
I don't want to hear about stupid multiplayer crap in Mario from Nintendo, no online means I will never play it with others.
Ask all the beautiful chicks you meet on your travels to play with you. It is a win win, you get to bring chicks home and you have someone to play Mario with.
