You need a portable mmo.  On second thought, that wouldn't really work on a plane.  You need to sneak her into first class or sing to her like the wedding singer. Nyaa. She'll be your forever.

Just finished The Last Story last night (33 hours, wandered lots) and did some of the post-ending stuff, it was a satisfying experience from start to finish with minor issues like some voice overs or animations (maybe directing) killing the mood in scenes, and the frame rate issues (eh, just consider it Wii's Shadow of the Colossus tech wise) but overall it's fantastic. It's pretty amazing how they made a JRPG battle system that works well in both crowded skirmishes and in 1 on 1 duels. Not that it's without issues but, what is? I also liked the loss of frame rate actually slowed down the game instead of altogether skipping a bunch of frames, which meant most of the time you basically got a slow motion effect and could still pull off the things you wanted within the same game time frame despite the lower response time. Although it did get annoying in certain scenes in the later half of the game and toward the end I didn't feel it harmed actual playability, it was mostly annoying on a visual level when it got too bad.

I bought it, but I hated it as soon as I realised they didn't include the original voice-track.  Maybe I should forgive them and try to play it

I read about this in one of the reviews, but I haven't seen slowdown in any of the videos. Did you get the special edition?

I played so much Fire Emblem Sacred Stones yesterday I had to take painkillers for my fingers and wrists.

Pretty cool to play two Fire Emblems at the same time.  Playing it on 3DS, the graphics are out of resolution so look worse, kinda like playing Wii on an HDTV. But using the analogue stick is much more friendly than the d-pad in this game. I love that you frequently level up and rescuing people too. One more Fire Emblem and I will own all the games released in the west.. One thing I am wondering is whether SS has the same problem as the first gba FE game, will it force me to use certain characters I have neglected in the final battle thus leaving me with a limp dick in the final battle?

I never had a badass pegasus knight before so I gave a seraph robe to my one to extend her lifebar then levelled her up to the point where she could evolve, pokemon style. I have this seal to level her up to total badassness. Then in a port this other pegasus knight appears who is a friend or acquiantence of Elrika and the game forces me to use her in this mission. So now I'm wondering should I use my level up seal on the original girl I had intended or will I be shagged and have to use this new girl? Anyone remember?

I actually played some Sacred Stones during the short amount of time I had a DS. It was great.

That's one series where I wish they would either make the whole franchise available through DLC or by making a compilation of them on a Wii/Wii 2 disc.

It's such a shame that you can't use the Wii IR for pointing and aiming on Radiant Dawn the game was made for it. The touch screen is so great on the DS Advance wars too. I hope they do a Wii U fire emblem that actually uses the touch pad for everything. I want the DS Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon  but the art soooooooo horrible and bland.

What is this shit? sad

I also just realised what Fire Emblem is like. It's like that chess game in Star Wars with characters that beat the crap out of the other figure, when you placed him.

Pitchford - Wii U version of Aliens: Colonial Marines has 'so much more to offer'

"The Wii U version has so much more to offer ... no other platform can do what the Wii U can do. If you love [Xbox] 360 games, you are not used to being in a world where you have this new interface. But once you get used to that, you imagine the possibilities; there are some opportunities that are just not possible on any platform that does not have that device.

I don’t want to give spoilers away on some of things we are thinking of or things we have actually implemented already, but a lot of cool opportunities with that device that are going to make a very unique and compelling experience on that platform. We have given a lot of attention. I think it will not be too long [before] Nintendo opens up their kimono a little bit more about that platform and where it is going, we will be there right with them talking about how Aliens is using it." - Randy Pitchford

Use the touch pad as controls for the forklift suit?

More Wii U chatter from THQ's art director on Darksiders 2 which kinda contradicts what the other THQ guy said before - bear in mind that the guy a few days ago was relaying 2nd hand info and wasn't on the Wii U team.

Darksiders 2 art director Han Randhawa interview

"There's not a lot I can talk about right now but I think Wii U's a pretty powerful machine which obviously means more resources, it means you can do a lot more, the Wii U teams been doing really really well, we've been working with Nintendo and I think it's going to be a very exciting version of Darksiders, but we want to keep the overall thing relatively consistent"

So there's the clarification, unless he's comparing Wii U to Wii 1, when he says "a pretty powerful machine which obviously means more resources, it means you can do a lot more " he's talking about how it's more powerful than 360 and PS3, obviously and he's obviously said that it's their intention to keep all the versions consistent with each other so the comments from the guy a few days ago were misintepreted by most people.

Wii U talk Starts at 2 mins 53 secs

Enough with the London elitism.  You got the Olympics.  Norwich gets to keep their game.  You can't have everything.  It's bad enough that Norwich tax payer's money get sent to London.  Go Norwich!!
