Not sure yet. I think the atmosphere is what bothers me the most. I think I'm more of a classic Zelda man, or classic with a twist like Majora. I loved Wind Waker because they tried to make it like a cartoon and the super deformed link matched with older Zelda games like LTTP.
Looking back, playing SS makes me appreciate Twilight Princess more. That game is such an opus in the classical Zelda style that this new game seems slightly..... off? If that's the word. So far at least.
There have been some rousing Zelda moments but not nearly enough. I have literally stepped into the 2nd chamber of the first dungeon after 5 hours so I'm not far in at all.
The music bothers me too, the game comes with this free orchestral CD and the classic Kondo tunes seem so much better than the music in this game. I love Yakota's music in Mario Galaxy but in this game I miss Kondo's music. He just gets Zelda so perfectly.
Sorry GG.
In GG's defense, though, he probably started typing that post before you made yours. I'm just being an ass. A rock-hard, tanned and desirable one, but an ass nevertheless.
Hmm...I think I know what you're trying to say in regards to atmosphere...its a key thing and something that isn't always easy to achieve, as I've said about the Halo games lately. Thanks man. As for music, why didn't Kondo do this game?

Agreed.
Majora crew assemble!
I agree with you, wow that doesn't happen much. AI in gaming for the most part sucks. Apparently if the enemies have the ability to move around your cover to flank you they are GENIUSES!!! Oh and enemies that know how to throw grenades, oh man they are so smart. Thats basically it, that is as far as AI goes. Like Iga said its more about the scripting and what you allow the enemies to do which can lead to great set pieces, we don't have great AI yet.
Imagine if a game did have great AI, every game is like 1000 enemies to 1 guy, you are telling me those 1000 enemies can't come up with one damn plan to kill the one stupid dude with a weapon that is ruining all their plans. Come on.
In an interview with some developer (can't remember which) they were saying that AI had to be crap so that the player wasn't being killed all the time. Suuure, that might be believable if good AI existed.
I finished Halo Anniversary last night. Awesome stuff.
I got all the skulls and Terminals. The terminals in particular are really cool, they add quite a bit to the backstory of 343 Guilty Spark and the Halo universe and really explain in greater detail what the hell is going on.

Also, its really cool that both Halo Anniversary and MGS HD came out recently around the same time, as Halo and MGS2: Sons of Liberty were my favorite games of 2001, and 10 years later I'm given an excuse to play them again.
