I don't mean that. What I mean is that people like Iga, myself or Aspro who update regularly go through a daily process which takes a lot of effort for little reward.
People only acknowledge what you are doing when you make a mistake or post something they don't like. When you've been thanklessly updating for months on end, it almost feels like an insult when someone takes issue with an updated article or news event, even when it isn't personal.
It can make you hypersensitive to little things when you put so much into updating the news for such a long time. Iggly gave up on it - he knows what I mean about it being thankless task.
In this case you weren't criticising Aspro directly, but you have taken issue with some of his updates before, 3 or 4 of them in the past so he might have his back up when it comes to you in particular - even when you're not trying to start shit. I think you both could have been cooler about it.
If there was no harm meant - just say so and the issue is dropped, but if you bite back when someone accidently bites you, things only get worse. You know what I mean?
I gave up on updating because I got a job. I job that gave me money to buy more games. Also I trained 3 times a week back then. After I got home from a day of work I played games and when I was done, I was too tired to update the news. So between working, training, playing games and updating something needed to go. So I took away the thing that was by far the most boring.
The only reason I started updating was because GG needed someone to update, so I did. In the beginning there was like plenty of us, but most of them went away leaving only me and GG. I never really cared about the news to be honest, I hardly read anything I posted. Now a days I buy most games when I find a good deal, I hardly care about most new games. I rather play games then read about them. But I kept updating because without me it would be only GG, but then one day I could not update and other people took over. So I became obsolete. What a glorious day.
If news posting is a tiring chore that makes you touchy instead of something you actually like doing in your spare time, then just don't do it, like most people here don't do it. Everyone who comes here likely has his own news sources from way before this place was started, the same sources you lot visit to post the news in the first place, as nice as it might be sometimes to get everything in one place (though there are places that already do that too). Ranting off and leaving the place because someone had something negative to say about the topics you posted about rather than about you or your posting of them makes no sense. I mean, some of this shit is posted just for the reactions that lead to hits for the source in the first place, if you don't like reactions then don't post such news rather than expect people to not get the intended reactions.
Since you invited me I just saw this as a discussion forum not a new news website. A place about discusssion. And when people see something they like or something that really sparks any kind of reaction out of them they will discuss it whether there is new news of it posted or not. Like Vader's gushing over Deus Ex, or how you really like Xenoblade. Well, that's just how I see it, maybe you feel different.
If you really like news posting but not how it's handled here then maybe it's best to get Yoda to do some changes to the format, so that every news post gets its thread/topic rather than everything being lumped together so that only one or two stand out bits are talked about, and everyone can comment on each separately, making the discussion of each topic your reward for posting it, seeing people noticed and made use of your work etc, rather than juse see one or two comments on the subject which may or may not have been sparked by your post. A standard wordpress style front while keeping the day columns might just do the job.

If no one updates it leads to this:
I think that wouldn't help much, seeing a thread for every story. The whole point of the one news page was to keep everyone on the same page seeing how there were so few of us.
^The site was not working properly.
Yeah, the site wasn't working for hours not to mention the awkwardness after aspro's departure.

Regardless of glitches, it leads to that.
Played some more Mafia II last night. I like having a straightforward structure in an open world game. In GTA games I tend to either veer off doing sidequests and looking for weird shit for so long that when I get back to the main plot I sometimes get confused, or I'll barrel through the main quest while being afraid of missing something neat if I finish the game without roaming the map. It's nice to have a linear path when the game relies so heavily in its story and character development.
I'm about 3 hours in, in the middle of the 5th chapter after killing the fat fuck (the demo chapter). Very solid game.

Press Release:
SEGA® of America, Inc. and SEGA® Europe Ltd. today announced that Sonic CD™ will debut on mobile phones and consoles everywhere. The game was originally released for the SEGA CD™ system in 1993, and included the first appearance of fan favorite characters Metal Sonic and Amy Rose. Sonic CD is coming to digital platforms with music from the original Japanese soundtrack. The beloved prequel to Sonic The Hedgehog 4™ Episode I is coming to Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®Network, iPhone® and iPod® touch, iPad™, Windows PC Digital Download, Android and Windows Phone and will be available for download in late 2011.
“Ask any Sonic fan to name their favorite games, and Sonic CD always ranks near the top of their lists,” said Haruki Satomi, Vice President of Digital Business at SEGA of America. “Sonic CD marks an important chapter in Sonic’s history, bridging the gap between his oldest adventures and his new digital exploits like Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode I. We’ve made sure the re-mastered edition has everything that Sonic fans want to see with all of the original colorful classic zones.”
Following the classic story of the original, Sonic CD sees Dr Eggman plan to cause chaos and take control of the future by stealing Time Stones from the Little Planet. Sonic must speed through levels and travel through time while fending off Eggman’s robots to recover the Time Stones, and save Amy Rose from his mechanical twin, Metal Sonic! This fast-paced game will return with brand new features including enhanced widescreen graphics, special iOS features, Xbox LIVE Achievements, PSN Trophies, PC Achievements and more.
The re-release of Sonic CD will be making its public debut at the Microsoft booth at PAX Prime in Seattle, August 26–28, 2011. For more information on Sonic CD, please visit http://www.sega.com/
What the hell are they smoking at Sega? This game has nothing to do with that crap Sonic 4.
Anyway...
Oh Sega
And while its already been made clear in the past that Madworld failed to live up to expectations, Bayonetta was a big ticket for developer and publisher, having become a million-seller. Vanquish? Not so much: Hayes told us that it had sold as much as three quarters of a million worldwide since its release last October.
...
“Bayonetta was a hugely successful title in Japan and it was a successful title in Europe and America, so overall, that’s performed extremely well. And we’d like to think that’s now an IP that is relevant for the market. How we take that forward in the future, that’s all to be looked at, to be announced, no decisions are made on that, but that did well.”
Which brings us to Anarchy Reigns, the next tile from Platinum. While its previous games was under a previous publishing deal under Sega, Anarchy Reigns, says Hayes, is a “standalone deal.” Its releasing the game in January next year, which is normally a relatively quiet period, which may have been part of the reason why Bayonetta did well when it released 18 months ago.
“I think we’ve got reasonable hopes on Anarchy Reigns. We’re going for this point of difference of a multiplayer brawler with the Platinum Games seal of quality. I think Anarchy Reigns is going to be a solid game that works very well. We’re not expecting Anarchy Reigns to break out and sell 2 million units, that’s not our expectations at all.
“But I’d like to think Anarchy Reigns is going to sort of notch up the numbers sort of in between Vanquish and Bayonetta. And if that’s the case, that will be the success we want it to be.”
...
But one other title Sega has planned for the relatively quiet Q1 period is Binary Domain from Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi. Sega’s aiming big for this one, with it being aimed to be in “the Bayonetta A++ position in terms of potential” breakout chances.
Wow. Anarchy Reigns will do worse than Vanquish and Madworld. We are easily looking at the worst game of the Platinum lineup, it has zero chance. I know very little about Binary Domain but I will keep an eye out for it. The Yakuza guy seems to be the only dude outside of Sonic Team making actual Sega games. What the hell happend to this company.
