SaGa 3 (aka Final Fantasy Adventure 3) was a pretty rough game. Despite being the third in the series I always thought it was a big step backwards and ultimately the worst of the trilogy. That is true. The remake of SaGa 2 is coming out pretty soon (which was originally a fantastic game) so that may be a good measuring stick of what we can expect to see in SaGa 3.  The major issue with SaGa 3 was the leveling system and class change (which was really more of a speicies change), which were a dramatic change and ended up giving the game a very generic feel.  If they go back to the original system it could be a lot better.

But as it is, the SaGa series is one of the most hit or miss series I've ever played. It almost goes back and forth between terrible and great. I eventually gave up on it though after SaGa Frontier 2 which gets my vote as the "Best Looking Bad Game" on the PS1.

It sucks because they started off with one of their 2 good series (the other being Portal) so they only need to move it to Portal and their entire library is ruined.

OH man. Playing Deadly Premonition.  I'm still early in the game, I think about 12 hours, I I think I know who the killer is.

I hate it when you figure it out early, now I just want to confront that dude and get the game over.

But they'll want to take me on some meandering path, I'm sure.

And then it won;t be who I think it is...

WHY have I not played a mystery game in over 10 years?!

I guess you're right. Hopefully it'll be short enough so it doesn't overstay its welcome.

I played the Lords of Shadows demo tonight. Pretty cool. Great production values. Combat is alright, even though I'm not too keen on fixed camera angles.
