Congrats on the PS3, it's a gem of a system. Be sure to add Uncharted to your queue of games to play and heavenly Sword is worth it if you can get it cheap. Main problem with that game is that the game is 7.5 hours long and the final boss battle is 2.5 hours of that. Very frustrating, but worth the effort.
uncharted was in the box, so that was good. there was also motorstorm which i doubt i will ever play. heavenly sword is in the platinum range so i will get it on the cheap at some point but i have collected over a dozen games before i even got the system which i will at least try before getting new ones.
edit: your experience with heavenly sword reminds me of all the god of war games. overall on the easy side to the extend of my having to play on hard mode to make it satisfying ... only to get stuck at the final boss for many hours and a lot of frustration

yep almost 3 months of vacation coming up (the only positive of being a teacher), i still have university courses running though so it won't all be free time but it will certainly be better than it has been lately

Also playing Valkyria Chronicles which is a really fun addictive strategy RPG from SEGA.
GTA 4 Lost and Damned is good, but not blowing me away as much as the main game.
And another game called 69 the Hot Milf is incredibly entertaining.
