Yep. Updated with videos.
I didn't notice in the MK8 trailer, in the screens the road textures are mega low detail. Still looks fantastic in motion, love the lighting.
Nintendo has developer directs now, incoming.
The Villager is such a douche character. He just stuff all attacks in his pocket.

I get the distinct impression that Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze was originally being developed for the Wii and then was ported to the Wii U halfway through development. It looks a lot like a Wii game that has had specific effects upgraded a little.
I'm not liking what they did to WW. When they first showed it it looked distinctly different. Now it's exactly the same as the GC game, just with marginally better lighting and more pixels.
Also, I do not like being here. Phantom_Leo only managed to lure me in by telling me GamingGeek was here

because, as I told Phantom Leo when he barged into the vu at gs, I don't think that we as a community, benefit from spreading ourselves thin over multiple small sites. Thus I don't join sites willynilly. But alas, I could not withstand the pull of gaminggeek...

Ahh....I understand that.
This is the only site I hang out on anymore for that very reason. Plus I'm just not a fan of Gamespot or most of the people that post there anymore.
I liked GS forums well enough lately when they worked. The 3DS games do a lot for me, the Wii U games look good too, but still, not $349 good.

Just passing through. I think. Will have to keep this place in mind if videogames stop being such a dreadful bore at some point. I was watching Ryse gameplay, and all I could think is that despite an uncommon setting with a totally new IP, it still manages to look like every other third person action game ever. Only more detailed graphically.
Oh well. Perhaps videogames will be interesting by the time the next generation of consoles come around.

Pikmin 4? They might want to concentrate on releasing 3 first.
