Xenoblade 2 kind of depresses me, in that more games don't look like that on the U. Seriously, fucking lazy developers.

Mario Kart 8 looks great, but its got some work to do to dethrone Sega All Stars.

Yeah it's embarrasing when most devs struggle to get decent 360 ports up and complain about how weak everything is. This game looks insane. Not as good as PS4/Xbone obviously but still, great. Wii U has a lot of untapped potential, graphically.

I love this so much.  I want those plush toys.  And I want a plush Miyamoto.  "Don't attack mah EYE!!"  I love it.

Catching up now watching the dev videos and trailers here:

  • Wonderful 101  -Seems very retro, a throwback a throwback but in a pleasing way. It's nice to see something like this in contrast to the military shooters etc. I will definetly wait for reviews though.
  • Bayonetta 2 looks graphically nice but total batshit insane. LOL Think there would have to be some super casual mode for me to even consider. Perhaps if the touch controls work...
  • Splinter Cell Blacklist - this one actually looks half decent, better than conviction. Seems to have a bonus costume and map for the U as well as all the pad features.
  • Deus Ex looks decent, I'll wait on reviews first.
  • Smash Bros U -  Sakurai looks like a 17 year old. The 3DS version looks good actually and features handheld stages too like Spirit tracks etc. WHOA WHOA, we need to hold fire on Smash Bros U, in the developer video in HD it looks a lot better than that trailer. When the camera is zoomed way out you can't make out that big of a difference like in a fixed viewpoint football game but close up this is much better than Brawl - same exact artstyle though. The villager is hilarious LOL he looks like he will cut you in your sleep.

W101 - Reminds me of Viewtiful Joe.  That's something I'm happy to be reminded of.  I'd like to get this.

B2 - I thought the first one was overrated.  Not necessarily bad but not god's gift to action fans either.  I was going to finish it if it weren't for that stupid shmup level.  Don't think I will get B2.  Sorry platinum.

SCB - Never played a SC game.  I have several still sealed.  Won't get another until I do something about those.

DXGrinningC - Bought the original on PS3.  Too frustrating.  Don't have the patience for this sort of thing.  Not for me.

Smash U - Not a big enough fan to get this unless it becomes thevgpress's online multiplayer game of choice ... in which case I will be villager to torment all o' y'alls

Still watching:

  • Smash Bros - The villager can grow a tree and chop it down onto someone LOL Oh shit, Marios' animation in the megaman segment, they are nearing CGI quality on U with these Mario style games. Environments are simple, no advanced shader work at play but very clean. Yeah I think we've been too hard on Smash, it looks quality, not hype worthy but definitely quality. Oh God the Skyward Sword level looks horrible, the textures, my eyes! OMG the Wii fit trainer just busted Mario and Link LOL Dr Kawashim'a head should be the end boss.
  • Bayonetta dev direct - they show the touch screen controls... weird, it seems like you only tap at certain moments or something.
  • DKC - the levels are not just flat, the camera goes into them like they are 3D but only at controlled points. Otherwise it looks exactly the same as the Wii game.

Joystiq are saying Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart 8 are 1080p and 60 FPS

We already have confirmation of 1080p Smash
