1. Take the PS3 wand out of your factoring. It's a non-entity and will remain that way for another year. Even once it comes, I doubt there's going to be a real hurry for support.
2. Take out KH3 as a PS3 exclusive from your factoring as well. Regardless of what system it comes out for, it won't be around for at least 2 years. SE has no problem announcing their games far, far, far, far, far, far, far out in advance. So far there's nothing and likely there won't be for a while. If I'm not mistaking, Birth By Sleep doesn't even have a launch date.
Only make your decision based on the known facts. Screw speculation.
If you really want to decide, and the extra $100 isn't a factor then try to take this into consideration. The Wii offers 2 exclusive things that the PS3 does not. Nintendo franchise games, and an abundance of niche games. The PS3 on the other hand has all the Sony 1st party exclusives (which are now fairly abundant) and more traditional hardcore games. Which is more important to you?
Allow me to make some corrections to your reasons, first

- -Future potential (Metroid Other M, the Next Zelda, and Dragon Quest X)

Kingdom Hearts 3 might be a PS3 exclusiveCould instead be Wii exclusive-Sony's future wand might have huge potential- -PSN and the 120GB HD means great DLC and downloadable games...like Trine!
- PS3/PSP hook ups!
Do this systematically. Honestly, you can group these all together into simple categories.
-First, which do you prefer, Wii exclusives or PS3 exclusives? This includes DLC, Virtual Console and online play.
-Second, how much do you care about having a Blu-ray player? If you plan on getting one anyway, the value is entirely different.
-Third, is there anything else you genuinely care about? Is PSP connectivity a deal-breaker?
You seem to be overthinking it. What do you want to play? What do you want? Don't try and list out every pro and con of each, choose what you want.

Well I think that settles it. ASK shouldn't do a damn thing without consulting our brilliant minds first.
Damn, I love and want both!!!
I still have some time. I'm thinking about waiting until Uncharted 2 comes out before really deciding. I'll admit, I didn't really care for the first one but the second one looks great! The multiplayer looks great also!
Both are great systems...like I said, I still need more time!

There, problem solved.

As a system I prefer the PS3 because it has wider third party support, but if I had to choose I'd take the Wii for NMH and RE4 alone. The PS3 has Uncharted and Valkyria chronicles (as a counter point), but I'd not want to miss the two Wii ames I mentioned for anything.

no seriously. i think the main thing is that other than 1st party games there is nothing to differentiate ps3 and 360 (at least where gaming is concerned), whereas the wii is a somewhat different proposition. you've also been wanting one for quite a while

Yeah. You're right about the PS3/360 comparison. It really is the same thing when it comes to gaming, other than a few exclusives.
If only the PS3 didn't drop that price, than it'd be a no-brainer! Than Nintendo is dropping their price so......
I'll make a decision. I think I need to wait and see what Nintendo does at TGS, than I'll decide from there!

Personally i don't see a huge amount of point in owning a PS3 and 360 so the Wii is a no brainer to me.
That said, though, it really does come down to which exclusives you prefer?
Wait, the PS3 has none!

Yeah. As tempting the PS3 is....since I have a 360, I feel the same way. I mean, I got Batman, Dead Space, Street Fighter IV, BlazBlue, Gears of War 2...oh wait!
But honestly, Uncharted 2 looks like PS3's answer to Gears of War.
But at least the 360 has this!
That's 40 plus mini-games included! Top that Mario Party!!!
No seriously, I'm having a tough time deciding.

It all boils down to the games you want to play and the genres the platform in question offers. Each system has enough quality games to make it worth the purchase. The only true option is getting them both, but since that is out of the question, make your decision based on confirmed games, or games already out.

I was thinking the same thing.
Ask make the same list for the 360 and include it in your analysis. Perhaps the 360 has the least exclusive you like. Or give up on consoles and become part of the PC master race.
And one more thing, get to play Killzone 2, Uncharted 1 & 2 and all the games you like to own on both the Wii and PS3. This might make it more easier to decide.
And one more thing, get some advice of the cute girl that works in a game store. This will give you an excuse to talk to her.
And one more thing, chicks like Wii Fit

Yep, this game should be the first one on anyone's Wii list. This is one of the few games that did not get the dreaded "it's overrated" backlash. One of the best games this gen.
Sounds like you are cheap and the Wii is dropping to $200. But really you've said it yourself, you have a 360 and you're going to be getting a lot of similar games on the PS3 that may be from different franchises but will play and even look similar in many ways. 360 already gets the best versions of multiplatform games. If you think that the PS3 wand might be great, well you already have a 360 and Natal could give you the wow factor you need there.
Wii will give you a distinct selection of unique games and is an ideal complimentary console to either the PS3 or 360.
So go with that kind of combo IMO.

But he already has a 360 so the third party support argument doesn't work as he can get those games on 360.
Oh don't forget that PS3 has Aquanauts Holiday But Wii has Endless Ocean 1 and 2.
Well, as I said before, I have enough for the Wii, but I'm awaiting that price drop before I pick it up. But that PS3 Slim is getting so tempting right now, especially after I saw the IGN video review for Uncharted 2, watched some more Killzone 2 vids, and playing Resistance Retribution on my PSP...man, the PS3 looks great!
But what do you guys think I should do? Of course, it's my ultimate decision, and any system I pick up, I'm sure I'll be completely satisfied either way.
So here's the thing:
Reasons to Get The Wii:
- -Nintendo's first party (Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Punch-Out, and Metroid Prime Trilogy)
- -The VC (So many great past gems I'd want to have again)
- -Future potential (Metroid Other M, the Next Zelda, and Dragon Quest X)
Reasons to Get the PS3:From the looks of it, it does seem like I'm getting much more with the PS3. But I already have a 360, and almost all the games on the PS3 is already on the 360. So basically, I'd be buying a PS3 just for three games, which is Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, and Resistance. And please don't flame me on this, but I'm not to excited for God of War 3, only because GoW 2 was so good, I just don't see how GoW 3 will surpass it, other than graphics.
As for the Wii....of course I'm a Nintendo fanboy by heart and the first party core games never disappoint. But also, if the Wii gets that price drop, I can easily save up for $200 much easier than saving up $300 for a PS3.
What a tough decision. Like I said, I can only get one for now...so what do you guys think? What do you guys think would be the best system of choice with what I've written?
