Those look positively bogus.
Looks like someone just hacking the game and inserting poorly developed enemies. None of them look anything like any Mario enemy, ever.
I know I shouldn't be watching these, but they're just too amazing!

Wow. The climb on top of the levels thing to me is like flying over the level and finding a hidden flute in SMB3. I am so glad shortcuts like that are back.
gamingeek said:I could do that.
yeah i do that all the time ... in assassin's creed
I was getting tired of Eternal Darkness, so set it aside and put in SMG2. Did not put it down for 4 stars.
I don't know what the fuck they have in that damn factory, but for the good of society they need to hire more people and make more games like this.
so far:
+ I appreciated the intro, how you start off s2 side scrolling and as the story progresses it changes to a 3D world circa Mario 64.
+ I am enjoying the music. It sounds ... just so .. momentous.
+ I've liked the simplicity of the first world's bosses. I like being able to quickly ID what it is I'm supposed to do.
+ The "old" style platforming levels so far have been just as enjoying as in the first -- with the gravity flipping etc...
+ Much prefer the new world progression.
I finished playing for the day, went to the other building, watched some TV while playing PSP then at the end of the night realized I left something over here, so came back, walked by the TV... and got another 3 stars. Woke up this morning, and after checking in here, I'm going back to it. What the hell?
Keep in mind I HATE platformers. Last year SMG was my personal GOTY, so I knew it would be like this, but still it is a shock.
Up to 18 stars. I love this game.
Maybe it is the level names, or the green grass, but I was prompted to think of Lemmings. I'd love to see a version of Lemmings made by the people who did SMG. Maybe a simplified abilities list, like only 8 to choose from.

I'm pretty sure its something like the level design and controls.

Hey mfer, read on -- I was talking about what reminded me of Lemmings, not why I love the game.

What is this "read" thing you speak of?

You're still at a point where the game has yet to reveal its best moments. It only gets better from there
I'm up to 28 stars now -- I have only had the chance to play twice over the last few days.
I think one of the best things about the game is that it is challenging, but not punishing. If you fail, there is not a whole lot of reloading, or unskippable cutscenes etc... you are right back in the action. Also, if you don;t like the level you are on (for me that is anything involving swimming or Yoshi) then you can go and do something fun an dsave those for last.
The variety is amazing.
Question for everyone: In some galaxies it indicates an additional star is available, but there is not a stand-alone star to click on, it's the same star with a dialog bubble coming out of it's mouth. I select it, and it is the same exact mission as before. So I figure, okay is the star for a speed run? So I do it faster, no that's not it. What am I missing?
If there is a star with a question mark, then that means that there is a secret star hidden in the level somwhere. Speed runs are only for bragging rights and getting embarressed when watching a smuck on youtube totally owning you.
And fuck you for not liking Yoshi

Okay, wel I guess I have some searching to do since I have all the stars available to me through the regular means. Thanks Iga! (Now I can put Eternal Darkness away again for a while).
Aspro there is a comet coin in every level. Only once you get this coin can you access another star per level.

:/ Hmm. Well. I think I have the comet coin for the current level I am on. I'll keep looking for this hidden star.

You have to wait for the comet star to appear. Just because you have the coin, it doesn't give you instant access to the comet star. The map will alert you to comet star challenges.
No, it's my own fault -- it's the forwarding company.
