I donlt have much time for much though, but that's also because my wife took on a job before all this that requires me to drop off and pick up my kid each day, so I'm stretched thin. I've not considered commerical options for the pick up and drop off because I spoil my kid.
I remember a post about work life balance from a while back. Good on you to be able to drive the kid to and from school. I'm in a similar situation, where a change of workplace for my wife means I now have to drop off the youngest each day. No CEO position for me though.
Aren't we expecting MP4 rather soon-ish? I'd imagine at this point they'd just be canibalizing the sales of MP4.
I would prefer August or September but I feel like Nintendo may hold off until November to help with holiday sales. I don't know, Pokemon will be releasing during that time.

I'm really curious to see what they'll show in the partner direct in an hour. I'm hoping for a lot of third party heavy hitters to release second half of the year, because the one thing the Switch2 is lacking now is games.

Welp.
That didn't happen.
I feel like the leakers lied to us, those of us who were paying attention.
I was expecting some big AAA games blowout or at least a few more heavy hitters.
What that Nintendo Direct showed was literally a continuation of every game series and/or publisher that already supported Switch.
There were good games, great ones even but there was nothing surprising or unexpected.
I wanted to see something I didn't expect, here's The Oblivion remaster, or Death Stranding.
We've been led down the garden path by leakers saying all this support is coming and then we see, what?
Another Monster Hunter Stories, another Octopath Traveler (which will be awesome btw)
And more Persona and Yakuza.
Bloober teams game looked decent ish. Star Wars Outlaws looks okay.
I spent over an hour last night playing NES Pinball. I've never spent any real time with it before, but it's pretty good. I especially like the Mario break out style bonus level.
Anyone here have experience with dual screen PC setups? I'm looking to replace my monitor I hook up to my Surface Pro with a monitor that I can use my surface pen on and I have found one that refreshes at 75hz. My Surface Pro is set to refesh at 60hz. Can a higher refresh monitor render at a lower refresh, or does it then simply add duplicate frames? Put more clearly, can a 75hz monitor run at 60Hz, or can it only run at 75Hz?
Most monitors support multiple refresh rates, and 60Hz is a very common standard. You can usually change the refresh rate in the Windows display setting (but most monitors just pick up the change natively and you don't have to do anything.

I'll give it a go this weekend, it's been a while.
I still play Pinball for the Atari 2600 several times a year.
Do you think Nintendo might stealth drop Metroid Prime 2 and 3 to get us hyped for the new game?
It's agood thought, but I don;t think they'll do that unless they need to pad for time to polish the new Metroid.
Given the accidental display of the poster in the UK last month I'd suspect a almost shadow drop of the new game -- like a 3 week launch cycle. I thin the game has already gone gold and they are just giving Bananza 2-3 months to soak in before the next big launch.
So now that Microsoft is porting games to Sony and maybe Nintendo platforms, as well as PC.
And Sony appears to be readying to put games on every platform.
Is anyone now considering being a single platform owner?
How many peeps here had an Xb1 and a PS4?
How many have a PS5 and an Xbox Series console?
If you did are you considering not doing that anymore?
Side question, which Sony or Microsoft games would you like to be ported elsewhere?
This is more of a forum topic worthy question.
I had a XB1 and PS4 and that's the last time I'll have systems from both. If the current gen XB had true 100% backward compatibility for XBOriginal and 360 I'd have bought two of them by now. But they fucked that up. And I've held of on PS5 because Sony has apparently euthanised their development studios. MS has more hits on PS than Sony at this time.
This job posting is not an indication that Sony is going multiplat for their exclusives. They are a electronics manufacturer. Sony games will launch on Sony electronics and then when it makes sense launch on any platform that makes sense. At some point we will see Last of Us on Switch 2, I guarantee it. But the next release will stay on Sony first for a long time, then eventualy come to PC (and XB if there are any more XB) and then finally to Nintendo (Nintendo will always be last because they don't want to erode JP market for their PS hardware sales).

That Nintendo Direct was, ok. The highlights for me were:

I’m also interested in:
Was glad to see proper Switch 2 versions of Yakuza Kiwami and a couple of other games.
Sega seems to want to port as many Yakuza games as possible. I almost bought Kiwami a few weeks back but the sale timed out before I got it.
Wonder if it has an upgrade path?

I didn't get into Video Pinball all that much, probably because I had Midnight Magic first. I should give both a go tonight.
Man, the Windwaker's camera and controls are rough.
Windwaker HD's camera was great. I can't recall how it was on the GCN.
Not good. Would love to play the hd version. I was much more forgiving back then.
One of the worst things about that gen was not being able to change x and y camera settings on games.

That's what I'd do anyway.
