Merry Christmas!! 😄
So I have Hitman WOA Switch 2. It takes up 50gb installed.
I haven't been able to download the update because it says I need 49gb for the update.
So I was like, surely they don't expect me to download a 50gb patch? So I googled it:
the Nintendo Switch 2, Hitman World of Assassination: Signature Edition requires approximately 53.54 GB to 61 GB of storage space.
Key data details for the 2025 release include:
Download Size: The base digital download is listed at approximately 53.54 GB to 53.8 GB.
Total Install Requirement: With all content and patches included, the game typically occupies about 61 GB on the system storage.
Updates: Some players have reported post-launch updates that can temporarily require significantly more space (up to 112 GB) during the installation process, though the final footprint typically settles back to around 58–61 GB after completion.

What the hell is this? How do I clear 50gb of data just to download a massive patch which will then... shrink itself or some shit?
I've seen this a few times on PC. MS is gulty of this with some Window 10/11 updates.
I don't believe I've seen or heard of it on console before, though.
Think I seen this on the XSX as well once, Call of Duty game I believe. Basically it needs at least double the file size. I believe it’s because it downloads the game then extracts the files to an executable version. The initial download is deleted.
Nice. The Astrobot games are pretty fun games to get all the trophies for.
I'm really enjoying DK Banaza. I just made it to a snow level with zebras this evening. Graphics in this level are fantastic! I like how the snow deforms and flys around when you run through it.
A belated Merry Christmas!
Wouldn't it be easier to just redownload the whole game with the update already enabled?
I believe this is what the SW Outlaws patch did when they upgraded all the textures.
Really nice looking on the Switch 2 screen. Probably isn't but it looks 1080p to me and tou can unlock the framerate and play at 60fps with great image quality. It looks miles better than the first game on Switch 1.
The setting though, not sold. The first game in the creepy mansion worked. Here youre in.an abandoned Cruise liner from like the 1920s.
Just the basic question of why a you're on a ship that usually would have hundreds of people, being empty for no reason it stretches the plausibility.
Mostly jump scares but it's not scary so far.
The extra chapter felt kinda rushed with the story compared to the base game. But I do not mind, after 10 years I want some conclusions instead of another cliff hanger!
Final chapter was easy though. But that was because I had 3 god level mechs, two of which could one-shot the strongest superboss of the main game and the third one could two shot it. And to make matters worse outside of the mechs I was even more powerful. The final boss had no chance
Now busy doing all the achievements, almost done!
Nice. I really got to get on that game myself.
I need to watch a video on this ending content. If you have a cough and cold, would you go visit your elderly parents, one who has cancer, the other just come out of hospital from a heart attack?
Or would you wait until you weren't infectious anymore?
Just tell everyone you're on a doctor prescribed vitamin and honey enema routine for the next several days, and it's best for everyone if they're not exposed because the treatment pretty much forces you to stay on the toilet all day.
Definitely stay home. It's not worth the risk.
If it's a regular cold I would visit, but I'd keep my distance. Cancer and a hearth attack are terrible, but that doesn't mean they can't both be in relatively good heatlh otherwise. That said, if it's anything worse than just a cold, I'd definitely stay away untill it's over.
Definitely stay at home until I was better and not infectious anymore.
I'm continuing my long stretch of not gaming much at all. I've got plenty of games I could play, Nier Automata, SW Outlaws, Hades, ME Andromeda, Vanquish, Pokemon ZA, ... But it's all just too much of an effort, too much of a commitment. Mario Kart World online still is a fickel thing, with long streaks of great matches being evened out in my ranking by one or two missteps. Tetris99 is still the forever game where I can happily sink hours into and consistently end high.
I'll be getting Dispatch when it hits Switch on 2nd of January as I tell myself it'll be something cool for me to play together with the wife. Deep down I know though that she'll watch half of the first episode and then scoff at watching a superhero cartoon, leaving me to play by myself in a corner of the sofa. Still excited though.
This is why I started a walking simulator instead, Layers of Fear 2.
It's rather boring though, not scary with not much story to it.
