Just bought 4 more graphic adventure type games in the switch sale. The Inner World 1 and 2 are like £1.11 each. The Dark side Detective is this pixel art supernatural detective game that Switch UP! Loved, its £5.66. And The Wardrobe you play as this skeleton and it looks like a Lucasarts type game, costs £4.50 Also might pick up Edna and Harvey 2.
Edna and Harvey the breakout is surprisingly open. You're trying to break out of a mental facility /mansion. Rather than going in a linear fashion to a small set of screens, it let's you enter multiple rooms and even go up and down various floors. Doing this gives the game more of a sandbox feel vs your usual graphic adventure. You feel more freedom and your mind churns with the possibilities. Also your inventory is twice as big as a normal graphic adventure, so it gets you pondering how to use or combine them.
Completed Edna and Harvey the Breakout Anniversary Edition on switch. Only £4.50 in the sale. Really good game, its a proper full length graphic adventure with some neat twists. Like any graphic adventure it has one or two logic jumps, but they are rare. What I really liked about this one is how the whole mental institution opened up and you end up roaming the whole complex. So you aren't locked into two screens with limited solutions. Really gets you thinking and feels very rewarding. There are a few too many useless interactions, all plants and chairs for instance show up as points of interest throughout the whole game but only 1 is actually of use. If you are like me and check everything that can get tiring. You are also given a multitude of dialogue options, like 8 responses to choose. Most of which are useless but are always fairly enjoyable to hear. The voice acting is great. And the story is rather dark in some ways. A girls father has been executed for murder and she's been locked in a mental institution and an evil doctor is wiping her memories. Really liked this one, will be buying the sequel.
WOWOWOWOW!!!!! That RE showcase!!!!! RE8 looks unbelievable! Mercenaries mode!!!!! Demo on Saturday!
But I might even be more excited for RE4 VR!!!! It's a full on VR remake, first person, new puzzles, new interactions. Imagine hedge maze in VR, Verdugo in VR, del lago in VR! The best action game ever in VR, incredible.
Yeah Resident Evil Village looks awesome indeed. I can’t believe that it’ll be out in a little over three weeks now. It really snuck up on me. Anyway can’t wait to play it.

Playing the Darkside Detective which is a lite graphic adventure about an occult detective. It seems like it might end up as a short game but I'm enjoying it a lot. The music is great, like John Carpenter music. Great sound effects too. The dialogue is hilarious though. There's this lazy, ass beat Cop who follows you about. You look at some toilet cubicle graffiti, he says "that's some lazy graffiti. I always put more effort in when I spray the subway" the detective says "what?" he replies "You heard me, narc" also there's a tentacle waggling out the toilet bowl 😁
That’s just a “What if” article. It would certainly be an interesting thing if it were to actually happen though.
It doesn't have a cinema?
Hand craft a sign that says FREE DRUGS and see what happens.
You know, weren't you meant to be conducting an experiment in which you go up to random women and talk to them about videogames or something?
Today is the RE showcase which should give us the RE8 demo drop. The game looks incredible, maybe it's RE4-2. Also we might see stuff on RE4 VR soon.
Very hyped for Resident Evil Village. Hopefully the new demo drops today not like I need it, it’s RE so it’s automatically already a purchase for me.
