So what has everyone been playing over the weekend? I was mostly travelling through space and time trying to stop a murder and being slightly less classy and pretentious than I am in real life. The rest of my game time was divided by overturning an evil monarch who for no apparent reason lives on a pirate ship instead of an oppulent palace in DKC, and making Tetris noobs cry while I slaughtered them by the dozens in Tetris99.
Thimbleweed Park and Silence. I tried Silence offscreen today. I can't play it like that, it still looks great but docked looks amazing. Also worked out you can use the right stick to cycle between hot spots. The environments are a touch claustrophobic, as there isn't much walking room. It's not quite your normal graphic adventure. You can't hold an inventory or combine items to use. Everything you have to do is usually contained within two screens, before you move onto the next area. I'd say it almost reminds me of Telltales Batman games interactive sections. Still don't know what voodoo they used to make everything look so beautiful.
All this news about nearly all of TimeSplitters 2 being playable in that Homefront game because they kinda sorta just dumped the whole source code in there really makes you appreciate how Nintendo charges full price for HD versions with minimal upgrades.
Started Edna and Harvey The Breakout anniversary edition. It's a graphic adventure by Daedalic, the makers of Deponia. Hard to believe it started out as a student game. Really like the art style, it's like the Ren and Stimpy era. There's a surprising amount of dialogue choices and even though it's not all important to hear, it's still enjoyable to go through the options. The premise is quite fun, you're a girl in a mental institution who can't remember anything and who thinks her toy rabbit is alive. So not only can you converse with the rabbit, you can also play as him in sections where you try and regain Edna s memories. There's a plot thread where her dad is being accused of murder. Good stuff.

Wut? Finished Silence after 6 hours or so. Stunningly beautiful game to look at, the colour and artwork bring everything to life. It's a little too focused (restrictive) compared to other games in its genre. Well worth it at sale price £6 ish. Think of it as a storybook, but instead of your mom reading it to you when you were 6, it's presented out in front of you like a living, breathing world. It could have done more with the story and most of the side characters are undeveloped. Overall it's a good experience type game, one I may show nephews one day to keep them enthralled (and quiet)

I think it is. I enjoyed it, though it was free for me. You can finish it in a couple of hours.
I thought it was awful, but nevertheless worth playing at an extremely low price.
This weekend for me consisted entirely of Monster Hunter Rise and WrestleMania.
Making a little progress on Cyberpunk, finished A Short Hike and started Firewatch. What a contrast.
I don't remember those jobs.

You WILL buy them and you will like it!
RE8 cover story on GI, details sound so good. This game will be special, might be something that might reach RE4.
Finished Not Tonight, started A Short Hike.
That’s unfortunate. Don’t really visit the site myself but I have watched the odd video of theirs on YouTube.
