Just saw this as well. That’s great news! I really enjoyed Hyrule Warriors and definitely want to get this one as well. Coming out November 20th as well, not too far off. I’m trying to save for next gen but Nintendo ain’t making it easy.
Hyrule Warriors was the best Musou game by a long shot. I don't know how involved Nintendo was with it, but whatever they did they really pushed it over the top. and the idea that now there's going to be one that's direct canon? That's pretty cool. Normally I wouldn't have thought this would have been a high-profile enough game for a holiday release, but between as good as Hyrule Warriors was and tying it in directly with BoTW, I think they can pull it off.
I think ps5 will be 499 with drive, 400 without. I feel that the 499 price point is rather aggressive, not sure if Sony will have anticipated on that.
I wonder if when Sony makes their announcement, Nintendo might have one last announcement to counter with it. Last week I said I thought they were holding off on their holiday announcement and anticipation of the pricing announcements from MS and Sony. That seems to have been the case after all. But since they were so quick to announce Hyrule Warriors 2 after MS announced their price, it makes me wonder if some sort of official Breath of the Wild 2 announcement will come along after Sony announces their price.

They already stated that updates on BotW2 were a while off, so I wouldn't bet on it. They might have something else up their sleeves though.
What the hell is the series S!? Discless? Streaming platform? It's just over 1080p?
It’s a budget next gen system. No disc player so it’s all digital. Uses the same CPU as the Xbox Series X but has a weaker GPU. It’ll play the next gen games but just at a lower resolution. Quite a good strategy by Microsoft and a very tempting price for consumers.

I agree, but not putting in a discdrive is a mistake. Or a very cunning business move. Probably the latter. I could see me getting an S fairly early on in the generation, but not without discdrive. I'll probably just wait for the Series X to hit the €200-250 price bracket and get the more powerfull version then.
And really, our TV is still 'only' 1080p, so why bother with higher resolutions?
Here's a question that you guys might know the answer to. For all the disc-free consoles that are starting to come out, is there a chance they could create a diss reader add-on later?

That would definitely be an interesting add-on for the Xbox Series S given that it has somewhat different specs and a $200 price difference from the Xbox Series X. It wouldn’t make sense for the PS5 digital system though since I think that it is the exact same as the PS5 disc system just without the optical drive and I would imagine that the price difference between the two PS5’s will be $100 at best.
So I am playing Celeste and enjoying it. I like it more then Super Meat Boy and the End is Nigh so far. Hopefully it is this good all the way through.
Also interesting when picking your language the English option has a Canadian flag. According to Cannuck law Archie and Yoda have to pick it up! Or else Wayne Gretsky is going to beat them up.

Nintendo is reportedly telling developers to get their games “4K ready”. Could be a new Switch on the horizon which will probably use nVidia’s DLSS AI upscaling techniques.

I'm already getting confused with the horrible names, Xbox series X etc. I can't even remember the name of the XB1 upgrade now.

All aboard for the Nintendo Series N. Don't do this to me games industry. I'm getting old.

Is that the new trilogy or the old trilogy? Either way, “Yes please!”

Excellent price for the series S, predictable price for the X; and very competitive pricing for the RTX 3070 taking the console prices into mind.

Microsoft going in hard. EA Play membership now included in Game Pass Ultimate at no additional cost.

In similar news, a recent digital foundry article referred to the non-PS4 Pro as the 'PS4 Amateur'
Well, he did before the mines drove him mad.
Somehting classy though, like this:
