I'm wrapping up my the final chapter of Trials of Mana. Should have this done tomorrow. Thinking I'm going back and replaying something once this is wrapped up.
Played some Gears 5 online multiplayer, some Super Mario All-Stars, and returned to Animal Crossing: New Horizons after a brief hiatus. Had to do a bit of island maintenance and pluck a few weeds.
I played 6 hours or so of Hollowknight. Got stuck a couple of times because I didn't know where to go and had missed a pathway in clear sight.
Played some SM All-Stars as well. SMB3 looks weird with the spruced up graphics.
My youngest got the Mario Lego base set for his birthday this weekend. It's a strange mix to say the least. There's something magical about seeing the Mario world being recreated in Lego's and while the 'gameplay' is strange, it's also a great fit for the two toy companies. It's all very freeform, only guided by a timer within Mario and a camera & some accelerometers that keeps track of what you place Mario on to determine your score. It's all lovely, but I can't help but wonder how much the kids will actually play with it.

Keep going Hollow Knight really gets amazing like 15 hours in. Its up there as one of the best metroidvanias ever.
I can definitely see the $299 price point of the Xbox Series S being very tempting for some people. For me though I value getting my games on physical formats too much plus I already have a sizeable library of games on discs that I want toe able to play on the next gen hardware. It’ll still be the Xbox Series X for me.
Is Xbox Series S the next generation Xbox or is that the advanced version of the current system? I honestly have no clue at all.
**Edit** okay, so that is the next gen one. Good price point. Very aggressive, Which is probably where it needs to be since the launch library doesn't look particularly impressive.
Very curious to see how Sony responds. If they try to match or just say fuck it and go for a $400 price point.

See, that's my point. I thought there was already a S and X. Couldn't they come up with console names like Pokémon or like cars? The Xbox Fire? Hell, any name would've been better.
Oh holy shit! Hyrule Warriors is getting a new installment that acts as the direct prequel to Breath of the Wild.
Just saw this as well. That’s great news! I really enjoyed Hyrule Warriors and definitely want to get this one as well. Coming out November 20th as well, not too far off. I’m trying to save for next gen but Nintendo ain’t making it easy.

I think ps5 will be 499 with drive, 400 without. I feel that the 499 price point is rather aggressive, not sure if Sony will have anticipated on that.
Nintendo has its highest stock value in twelve years. Because of Animal Crossing?

Played some Paper Mario, some Carrion, and even Crusader Kings 3. Ohh boy CK3 is complicated, yeah I think I am done with that one.
PM is cool but I still dont care for the combat.

I wish they would quit tampering with the combat and just give us the old school style.
Then I wandered off in some area I clearly had no right to be in. Found a bench, saved, and then worried about ever getting back out alive.
I'm sorry. Sorry that you're slow.

That's a nice price, much lower than I was expecting.I cannot keep up with these X-Box names. Couldn't they have been more creative?
