I don't think Platinum is as involved as much as we've been lead to believe. From what I've read they were used more in a support role.
And they have made one bad game, that Legend of Korra game from a year or so ago was their work, right?
Why are people surprised that Fallout 4 is crap? It's made by Bethesda not Obsidian.

I looked it up. You are right. I didn't even know there was a game. I thought it was a cartoon.

Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
Fallout 4 is not crap. My review is going up right now.
I think Fallout 4 is excellent myself. Personally I preferred Fallout 3 to New Vegas although I still really enjoyed NV as well.
I've been using a 360 controller on PC for my playthrough. Given the type of game there is no benefit in the additino of precision or speed that a mouse and keybouard bring.
Thanks. Seems like an ideal game to Stream to my Steam Link in the living room.
Was Playing XCX yesterday, doing a certain affinity mission. so I reach the designated spot, watch one of those incredibly stiff cutscenes... And nothing. No new destination was set, nada. I was told to go look for someone, but the destination marker stays firmly rooted to where I was at the moment. Googled it, and the only relevant information I can find is this being a game breaking glitch.
The thought that I could have wasted 35+ hours... Anyhow, after some more googling I find this place that explains that for some reason, the search mission is a seperate mission which you have to select from your mission list, it doesn't show up as part of the affinity mission at all.
On the one hand I'm glad it's something as simple as that, on the other hand I can't believe something sloppy like that made it in the final release.
Today my sister and her partner are leaving for Australia, where they'll be travelling/working for the next 6 months. She has been gone just as long in the past for her studies, but this is different. Back then she was staying in one place, while now we won't know exactly where they are...
Anyhow, I asked them to inquire where the famous hosts of the GameUnder Podcast reside and to go and get me an autograph. Surely the adres of people of such international renown would be easy to track down.
Yeah, the issue with that is that we have doubles spread around the country as decoys.
By now though the tabloids have already revealed I live in the state of Queensland.
It's the problem with working on womething for so long, you just naturally assume a lot of things that someone coming along for the first time won't get. Which is why I approve of playtesting (not to be confused with focus groups).
I am very aware of how such things can sneak into a design, where you can't look at your own work with a fresh view anymore. I'd hope games like this would be rigoriously playtested, but it seems that stupid stuff like this can still sneak into what are to all extents, pivotal parts of the story.
I recall something simlar happening in the game with trying to find Tatsu's mother.

Yup, that's exactly where I'm at. Apparently the problem showing up or not is dependant of what order you tackle the objectives in.
And I live in a state of crisis.
Also in Victoria, now a state of Deutschland.
I'm sure my sister will be devastated to hear she travelled so far all for nought
Oh Shit. They are going to Melbourne? They are going to be dissapointed. Ah, well. At least you won;t have to worry abuot her wanting to stay here.
I saw their best-case scenario, they're basically visiting every major city in Australia. All 4 of them
Seriously though, they're headed to Perth now, after which they'll fly to Cairns. They'll then be travelling along the coast all the way to Adelaide, will then go straight up to Darwin and back to Perth. And then they want to hop over to both Tanzania and Middle Earth as well.
For the "Gather This" side missions there aren't direction markers at all. There is one mission in Noctilum where I have to find an EM motor or something with no direction indicator. You are suppossed to follow the directions that the character gave you and discover it for yourself.
Oh, also I have read about someone being stuck on an affinity mission because they were missing one item they couldn't find. The solution? Well you can get certain rare items by mining. So click the mining spots on your map screen and it will tell you what rare items they can produce. Put down a high level probe and wait a while and you get the item. Also if you go into the barracks to the online console at the back room you can actually claim items as a reward from a huge list.
Yes, but this wasn't a side mission, it's an affinity mission. And there is a marker, they just made it so that it was entered as a seperate quest, without any notification that you had accepted it as being such, nor with automatically setting it as your next destination. All in all, it's sloppily executed.
