I have been down that route myself and it was one of the greatest decisions of my life. The recovery really isn't that bad either. Just do not be in a hurry to get back into the saddle with or without the wife. Trust me it's going to hurt if you start up too early. and it will be that dull throbbing pain that just lasts for hours and hours.

On another news, I bougt the Rare Replay Collection. I would have bought it for the Viva Pinata games and Nuts and Bolts. Anything else is icing on the cake.
According to the GPU maker, a 3024×1680 resolution at 90 frames-per-second is the expectation for many VR games, which is well beyond today’s standard of 1080p/30 or even 60fps.
I'm calling bullshit on this. Oculus only has a resolution of 2160x1200 at 90fps. So if they're saying you'll need 7 times the power based solely on pixelcount and FPS when compared to 1080 at 30fps it makes things look overtly bleak. First of all, most PC gamers prefer to game at 60fps, so that brings the multiplier down to 3.5x. Oculus' Rift only renders at half the resolution Nvidia puts forward so that brings it even further down to 1.75x. So for all but the most realistic looking of games most PC gamers will be fine. I also wouldn't be surprised if we see a lot of conceptually strong experiences with less impressive graphics released as well.
Then again, Nvidia points to the 970 as a minimum, which is exactly the same thing we hear from Oculus.

I was listening to the bombcast GOTY and they had the best statement I have heard about splatoon. "Splatoon is like a long lost dreamcast game some people recovered from the sega archives" so perfect on every level! It is exactly that, totally feels like a crazy Zany sega game.
Edge of that doesn't get you to play it nothing will. If this came out in dreamcast it would be one of your favorite games.
