Went to the cinema yesterday and there was a demo pod of GearVR playing a trailer for the next hunger game movie. You were just being ferried through a number of (mostly still) set pieces, kind of like a virtual ride where you could look all around you. The technology wasn't perfect, as both resolution and fps were rather low, but I came away impressed. I didn't experience any effects of nausea due to latency, but that might have been down to the fact that the whole thing only lasted 6 minutes. I can see this seriously taking off though. If you own a compatible phone, the thing will only set you back about €200, which brings it very close to mass market appeal in my opinion. Even with the limited ambition of the trailer, there was a great sense of actually being there, which will only be amplified if you're experiencing a true first person game. The acting of all the NPC's however will need to be spot on, as I could see that really letting the whole thing down if not done with the neccessairy care.
Did you ever mod New Vegas? I spent half the night last night downloading Vegas mods but the game keeps crashing with them enabled.
I did. My setup was quite stable...until the newest NMM version needed to UNINSTALL and REINSTALL all of the mods because of reasons. Then I got tired and uninstalled everything.
Play Wasteland 2 now which has apparently been fixed, and by the time you've done that Fallout 4 will have been patched by fans so it works, too.
Patched on PC, not PS4.
Ditto for Fallout 4 in a few months time.![WinkWink](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-wink.gif)
I got FO4!
Time to preload.
And then not play because of RL.

Boo at Capcom censoring Street Fighter V, unless this means that we get a Street Fighter V: Uncensored for Xbox One.![Nyaa](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)
