$250 Black Friday Wii U Bundle
Includes Smash Bros. and Splatoon pre-installed. How did they get them both to fit on the HD?destructoid.com news phantom_leo
A really good read. It's charming, in a rather nostalgic and yet utterly locigal way, to see how the economical situation of the time shaped the NES and how Nintendo built up to the US launch.
My initial impression of Halo 5's campaign has started to wane. While I generally like the overall controls, production values, and atmosphere, there are problems too. #1 is that the Prometheans just aren't FUN to fight against.
Another thing is this game feels even more scripted (like a Call of Duty game) than any other Halo.
I'm thinking about playing Fallout New Vegas. The new one isn't exactly an option and the attention the series has at the moment has piqued my interest.

The game Tomb Raider reminds me of most? Cursed Mountain.
In both games you wander about atmospheric mountain locations engaging in basic platforming, occasionally picking up story logs then engaging in semi-jankey 3rd person shooting. Only real difference is the production values.

I've played both and you've blown my mind. Cursed Mountain intrigue and exploration of tombs is exactly what's missing in Tomb Raider; though I agree the atmosphere is a little similar at times.

Hey, I enjoyed Cursed Mountain, to about the same level as I'm enjoying Tomb Raider. I'm not trying to burn it.
Yeah, $5.9 billion. That's nearly 50% more than Disney paid for Star Wars. It's an insane amount to pay for a company with basically one unproven IP. Look what happened to Rovio, that's where King is going. Steadily downhill. I'm sure Activision knows this as well, but just doesn't care. I find it hard to see such numbers justified when there is little reason to believe King will stay anywhere near as profitable as it is today in the long run.
The article gives some good numbers though. Half a billion users per month on Candy Crush alone, with over 7 million spending an average (!) of nearly $25 a month.
For some reason my 3DS refuses to charge. Nothing to lead up to this happening either, I've been using my 3DS a lot lately, it hasn't left the house, didn't suffer a fall, ... Bah. I'll be taking it to a store to see if I can try and get it to charge at a demo pod. If that doesn't work out I'll have to buy a new adapter or worse a New3DS... Has anyone here done the account transfer thing? Does it require you to fiddle around with settings in the 3DS's, or is it all on a computer? Because if I need to enter some commands in my original 3DS but can't charge my 3DS, I also won't be able to transfer my account and digital content.

It's probably the adaptor, same thing happened to my N64
Oh yeah there'll definitely be a Halo 6. No earlier then 2017 maybe 2018.
Just finished reading USgamer's Cover sory on the birth of the NES.

That sucks.
Fallout 4 stuff everywhere! The perk chart is out, so you can start planning your build. Going to be another masterpiece.
I'm getting excited for it. I doubt I'll get it day one but I'm expecting a bonus in a couple of weeks that can help.
Fucking social media.

It is head and shoulders above Fallout 3.
Konami reveal Contra for smartphones Kojima developing?
Let me blow Vaders mind for a minute.

I do really wish the aiming was better though.
Activision and King: Wrong price, poor fit .
