Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileHope the internet is right, GG. Good luck in your quest to find a doctor!
I knew he'd been sick quite for some time now, but this still comes as shock. 55 is way too young. Rest in peace, Mr. Iwata.
I really hope you find the medical help you need quickly, GG.
What in the hell?!?! I am in disbelief. I don't even.
too young to lose anyone. He will be missed greatly.
I agree with what yoda said.
Holy shit. What incredibly shocking and sad news about Iwata's passing. May he rest in peace.
Very sad news. No matter what anyone thought of the man as a leader, he seemed like a genuine good guy & 55 is way too young these days to go.
I'm shocked because he seemed like a fairly healthy guy for his age. Man....
Very sad day.

Sucks that a person with such a positive public-facing appearance is taken from us.
When I checked my phone this morning I thought the story update was a joke.
I'm at a loss for words. I feel like there is a pit in my stomach right now. Because of the way they interact with their fans, losing such a public figure who has been in mulptiple N.Directs feels more personal than it would be with other executives. It's just so sudden too. Horrible news.
Oh jesus, some of the fan stuff is heartbreaking
Its really unbelievable. Anytime someone dies that has directly affected my life in some way, I just start thinking of all the other people who have been lost as well and it becomes a very sad time for me. This must be the most somber day within Nintendo that they've ever had.
As far as his successor goes, I really hope its not Miyamoto. The man is a genius, but as far as leading an entire company I just don't think he's a good fit because he's too set on what he wants alone, especially in terms of hardware. Remember this was a problem even back in the Gamecube days that was talked about....Miyamoto having too much control over not just Nintendo's games, but even the choices they were making with hardware.
I don't think Miyamoto really understands what people want out of machines anymore. Or if he does, he just doesn't care. Shiggy should keep developing games, or helping out.
I personally think they need a younger guy who's more up to speed on modern gaming trends.
They must feel like a ship without a captain.
Takeda and Miyamoto are acting directors I hear. Miyamoto and Shibata have said that they will continue with Iwatas gaming ethos. And it sounds like whatever Iwata was planning with NX and whatever else there is, will be executed faithfully.
