I knew he'd been sick quite for some time now, but this still comes as shock. 55 is way too young. Rest in peace, Mr. Iwata.

What in the hell?!?!  I am in disbelief. I don't even. too young to lose anyone. He will be missed greatly.

As far as his successor goes, I really hope its not Miyamoto. The man is a genius, but as far as leading an entire company I just don't think he's a good fit because he's too set on what he wants alone, especially in terms of hardware. Remember this was a problem even back in the Gamecube days that was talked about....Miyamoto having too much control over not just Nintendo's games, but even the choices they were making with hardware.

I don't think Miyamoto really understands what people want out of machines anymore. Or if he does, he just doesn't care. Shiggy should keep developing games, or helping out.

I personally think they need a younger guy who's more up to speed on modern gaming trends.
