On the off chance I'm able to find some games to sell or something I'll still pickup Splatoon at launch, though at the moment that's probably not going to happen. I genuinally had fun with the demo, and it seems like a nice not-overly competitive shooter that I actually would enjoy without worrying about rankings and such.
On the subject of worrying about rankings, I've been playing a lot of Hearthstone. My god that game has gotten an emotional response out of me like almost nothing else in decades. When I win I'm way too happy and when I lose I am way too mad. I actually deleted it at one point because I noticed the game was in fact affecting my mood. I'm forcing myself to stop playing at least an hour before bedtime because of that.
I'm also playing Plants vs. Zombies 2. I loved the original, but when I heard the sequel went to a Freemium download, I decided it couldn't be good. But I've read enough that confirms it isn't pay to win, and you can enjoy it without spending a dime so that's good enough for me. And yeah it seems good as the first, though they have added some very unnecessary story (why the hell do devs do that????) that kind of drains a little time that could go towards other things.... like more Hearthstone.
I've mostly been playing Neverwinter, as usual with a bit of Mortal Kombat X and Dragon Age: Inquisition to check out the new mp dlc. Neverwinter really has me hooked right now.
Personally I'm getting the impression that Nintendo is purposely drip-feeding many of these Splatoon aspects to try to control and extend the longevity of the game. I don't think that it's because all this stuff is unfinished. This kind of puts me off if my assumptions are true because it's like they're saying, "Here, buy this $70 game but we'll hold off on giving you all of it until we feel the time is right for you to have it." Kind of rubs me the wrong way.
It's hated because the entire series sucks ass. That's not an opinion. I can prove it with a protractor and a number 2 pencil.
You people. Just cause it's different and uses the castlevania name weirdly you get upset. The first Is easily the best GoW clone ever made and the second has an open map with all sorts of abilities and secrets to find. Both the best 3D CVs ever.

Yup. That's even worse than it being unfinished to me.
With all the Splatoon talk on here you'd think it was going to be the goddamn GOTY.
It is.

I guess that is true. Since everyone looks the same and you aren't really focused on killing people I never can tell who I am fighting against. Using destiny as an example you can clearly tell who killed you and see if he is on a streak or so. The camera focuses on him, the announcer yells out to let you know, and I had many battles where my personal goal became to fuck over the one douche on the other team. That's some of the most fun I had with the game. maybe in time I will learn to focus on who is doing what but the game makes it distracting. GG you say the camera focuses on who killed you, I wouldn't know cause I was looking down on the pad to see where I should re spawn, like you are supposed to. Also this mode is admittedly not about kills.
As for destiny don't even, it had over 10 maps at launch with like four game modes. All the skills were available at launch. You can connect with friends all you want. The core game had tons of hours of content. It didn't lock you into 2 maps evey four hours, wtf is that crap. If I am going to play a session I plan to sit there and play for hours, I don't do tiny sessions, wtf is that. the game basically limits you to two maps a session, and who knows when you come back it maybe the same two you played last.
It didn't have the game mode everyone was excited for. It still (?) doesn't have proper matchmaking. Shitty launch. Splatoon's launch is shitty, too. But let's not pretend Destiny's launch didn't screw people, too.

True but the mode was in after a week. And yes destiny is missing tons of features and it still has more than splatoon will.

I played the first one and I don't know if I have ever hated a game any more than I hate it. I hate everything it is and everything it stands for. Needless to say I haven't gone anywhere LOS2 but I hate it just as much for even materialising.
I would gladly pay to have my copy sent to Aspro in Australia so he would give it a torture death the way he did to Too Human.
Yes, his fingers, his photo. He is a really funny guy.
Travo ... that Paper Mario rumour better turn out true. You got me hoping! I so miss a new Paper Mario. Especially one like the first two games, not so much the Wii one, though that was good too if truth be told.

Totally unrelated to the recent news I have been playing castlevania LoS2 which is great. Don't get the hate.

I finished Broken Age. And people call Molyneux a charlatan lol...
More Bayonetta 2, of course, but didn't have time to make much progress:
I have such a fucking nerd hard-on for Bayonetta.

I have a fucking nerd hard on for the redhead babe in the Wendy's commercials.

Well, I liked the game too, but, sometime today it will be a distant memory, as the true heir to the CastleVania throne will be announced.
So far, Sword or Whip hasn't changed, but because of the time differences I don't know where or when to expect announcements.
I'll be refreshing throughout the day!
My friend posted this on his facebook page to announce that he finished Bloodborne twice!

Its his fingers on the other side of the disc? Clever....lol
BTW I could go for a new Paper Mario from Intelligent Systems. But I could go for a Paper Zelda even more.
