So what's The VGPress consensus on The Order? Must buy? Hobo deal? Pass?
I'll be at GameStop picking up Kirby and a Mega Man Amiibo on Friday, if reviews are any good, I'll pick it up.
Took advantage of the free weekend of PSN:
Interesting setting. Uninteresting everything else.
Don't know why, Foolz, but when you post your WAYPTW posts, your pics never show. If I go to quote them, I see what they are, but I don't see them in your actual post.
Foolz pics always show for me, Leo.
Odd. I'll include titles in the future, Leo.
I've been playing the multiplayer portion of Dragon Age: Inquisition, Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart 8, and Earthbound.
I beat it quite a while ago on 9.0 difficulty with something like 2-3 characters. They all had custom moves, though, and I still need to beat Classic on 9.0 a) without customs and b) without dying. Both challenges frustrate me to no end. The only challenges I've got left are a lot of the ones in the top 2-3 rows or so of the grid and all the stupid Smash Tour ones. So, the really freaking hard ones and the ones in a mode I couldn't give a Pikachu's furry, charged ass about. I'm trying to narrow down the hard ones enough so I can spend my five hammers wisely. I'm pretty sure I can complete the aforementioned two Classic mode challenges someday, but they're so hard that I may want to use a hammer, anyway. I think one of the two can't be hammered, though....
I honestly don't feel anything about it as of now. Its one of those games where if it comes out & everyone loves it I'll grab it. If its just OK then I'll pass until its Cheap.
U finished up Final Fantasy: Lightning Returns the other day which you can read about in the finished games thread.
And I finally got back to Xenoblade last night. 40 hours in.
Totally wish they would do an HD version of this game with Pro Pad support.
I assume it will be mediocre, but look great. At this point I am desperate for a full demonstration for my PS4 so I will likely get it immediately after launch unless the reviews are bad.
Thanks for sucking all the fun out of the challenge
I tried it a couple of times yesterday, but I keep taking too much damage on the core's first giant form.
Been playing Majora. Cool shit.
Now I need a shit. Seriously.
Take your 3DS with you.
So Nintendo cancels the TVii app in Europe. As it never worked here, I have no clue about what it does. Is there anyone in here that actually uses it? what's it like?
I tried it out the first week or so it came out, but really the whole thing was just a useless novelty. The best thing it had going for it was a helpful tool for getting recommendations of shows you liked without having to find them by channel surfing. It kind of had a Netflix interface where it would show an icon of the shows that were playing or would be on soon, and then you could click one to see when and what channel it was playing, and also give recommendations "if you like this, try....". It also had a neat little tool that allowed you to chat with other people during high profile events like major basketball games, and such (never used that myself). About 6 months ago I tried to use it again, and it looked like a lot of features had been stripped out, and it didn't seem nearly as functional as it used to be.
You missed out on nothing.
Molyneux: "They've threatened me, they've threatened my family and it just cannot go on"
As I said last week, "it's not a great week to be Peter Molyneux." How sad is it though, that I can't really decide if he's even being truthful about statements like this? Did you guys see the Paper, Rocks, Shotgun interview he did? Pretty brutal, but not undeserved. At any rate, I think the guy should take a very long vacation and then maybe come back after he's made something complete, and talk about what he made rather than what he wants to make. Might be good for him.
You're very welcome. Glad I could be of assistance!
The main reason I was able to beat it on 9.0 was because I loaded up my characters with items that do huge amounts of damage. Even then, I die. I have the most trouble with Master Giant and Master Edges. My evasion skills suck to the point that Giant almost always manages to grab me, and I don't have Edges's attack patterns down well enough to keep away from its huge range.
The Fortress is kind of fun, though. Just be sure to watch out for the things that shoot Kamehameha beams at you. And if you touch the boiling piss at 100%+, it's immediate death, just like in that huger-than-huge Kirby stage. One time I was about to up-smash the final heart in the Fortress, but Ganondorf just happened to nudge the piss-soaked wall to his left. BOOM. That was pretty infuriating. Unless you're going for no deaths and are in big trouble even before the Fortress, I recommend only using the heart container you're given after you destroy the first two hearts, as the journeys to them aren't as dangerous as the paths to the latter two.
Also, GG, I saw your comment in the Smash thread about gyro aiming in the shooting galleries. Pfft, stick/circle pad all the way! I got the big prizes the first time, too! And in the swamp, after beating the temple, my first target shooting run, via the witch, resulted in 54 targets hit. The second time -- to get the prize for beating your own score -- I got 64. Hm, 64... how appropriate.
I have read a bunch on this game and I feel like it will be generally reviewed around a 7. It's like 10 hours with loads of cutscenes but good shooting. But it seems it never does anything that great with the shooting except that it plays like a movie. I want to play it cause it is the first real next gen game to me.
Yeah, poor guy. If there are people threatening him and his family then those people are real asshats, there's no reason for that.
