yay 2 weeks unable 2 get a doc appointment. this is the problem with too much immigration and my parents were immigrants. Public services under 2 much pressure. 2/3rrds of the patients at my doc are eastern  european or japanese. 4x the traffic as 10 yrs ago

So I hooked my Saturn up today and messed with Resident Evil and Tomb Raider....so weird to play these on another console. They seem identical to Playstation though, but Resident Evil has some extra shit that makes me wanna play through it one day.

I am waiting on a Saturn analog controller to play Panzer Dragoon Saga, as I heard that is the way to play this game, as well as many other Saturn classics. But I threw it in just to check out the opening stuff, and wow...I can see already why people love it. It has that Final Fantasy 7 ultra cinematic vibe going bigtime. The character and world design looks top notch, and its quite the looker for a Saturn title. Can't wait to play it.

Makes me wonder though, why in the hell did SEGA never port this to Dreamcast, PS2, Gamecube, or any of the online services? Makes zero sense to me....you have a title that many consider one of the best your company ever produced, but you leave it on the Saturn where hardly ANYBODY will ever play it? Why? Fuck me how much money would this game have made them if they gave more people access to it? Same for many of the Saturn titles. All they seem to port from the console is fucking Nights.

in the 90s the doc waiting room had 4-5 people. now.... 25-40 people! with the same numbers of doctors.

I just reactivated my GameFly account. Their sending me The Guided Fate Pardox and the Last of Us. Really looking forward to the Last of Us. I'm either going to love it or be utterly disappointed and will likely swear off ever playing games outside of my comfort zone again.

I'm not completely sure about this, but I believe the code on game discs/catrigages is mostly machine code (1's and 0's) not source code (code a programmer wrote and people can read).  Pulling it from the disc isn't useful for anything  except to make a copy to run on something else.  Emulators are software that just mimics the hardware of a game system.  They take the machine code and execute it.
