English Trademarks hint at possible DQX Localization
Ever since I saw this story I've been going back and forth on it. Luminaries of the Legendary Line and The Seeds of Salvation - On one hand these titles don't really fit the DQ7 remake or DQX, at least not based on what I know about them. You could make an arguement that either could kind of work for DQ7 (in Japan called Warriors of Eden), as the story is about time traveling to fix the disasters of the past in order to resurrect God, and there's a side story about a traveling band of gypsies who play a role in it and you meet them in the past and present. They're kind of a family line, and I guess seeds of salvation kind of applies to the main team as well. But overall they're both not exactly strong cases.
If you look at other announcements S-E has made recently about sending the older games to mobile, it kind of pains me to say it but I think these subtitles might apply to that. If you look at the storyline of the first trilogy (the family line of the legendary hero Erdrick/Roto), that Luminaries of the Legendary Line fits it like a glove. Seeds of Salvation might be able to be applied to the Heaven/Zenithia storyline of the second triology, so that's still not quite working though it's no worse that forcing it to fit the other two games.
Oh well, I'm not going to get my hopes up, but if nothing else it'll be interesting to see what happens.
I played these this week:
Oh, my security creditentials are mismatched? Hey, fuck you!
Thank you.
Oh on another note, I think Wii U sales might actually have been picked up as the MiiVerse seems a heck of a lot busier than I've seen it before. Either they're finally getting some new blood buying the system, or the existing base finally figured out how to use it.
NFS rivals PS4

I loaded all my NFS MW Wii U pics into one post and deleted all the individuals posts. Much easier to view now. Enjoy.
This game is fairly depressing. I didn't even think it looked that good when I played it. But can you imagine if all Wii U ports used high resolution textures like this? It took Criterion 10 minutes work to flip a PC textures switch in their pipeline. What's more depressing is that this is an open world game you scream across at 190 mph and there are no framerate problems, no loading problems. The world loads once when you start the game and you can drive anywhere with no further loading. If they can do this in open world then imagine what smaller games in smaller environments could look like? Bah.
Yeah, it's pretty shitty. It liberally applies some of the worst bits of the F2P model (usually seen on Facebook and mobile free games) to a full retail product. The worst part of it is that it seems clear that the game economy seems to have been designed that way, in order to maximize the amount of people willing to spend actual money to get the most exotic cars. Sleazy as fuck if you ask me.

Pikmin 3 has better ground textures.
Lighting in those Infamous screens is out of this world. Too bad the game belongs to a shitty franchise.
That forza shit is disgusting
When did this happen? I recall the first game getting rave reviews and everybody loving it. And then the same thing happened for the second game. When did it become a shitty franchise? I haven't played either of them yet so I don't have a personal opinion but I'm intrigued.
Quite so. There is nothing I hate more. It's the reason I will never get Dead Space 3 and Plants vs Zombies 2. It's a disgusting business model and I will not be part of it. So while I love Forza, I will never get FM5 (well there's also the slight problem of not wanting to get an XB1 but I won't go there).

I haven't played PvZ2 myself, but isn't this free-to-play? I recall Eurogamers review mentioning multiple times how generous it is with content, and that the payed for content is something you can do without.
I don't know, I guess I would have to look into it a bit deeper. I assumed it was one of those "free to play, pay to win (or to have fun)" type games. I'll need to read up on that further.

I know most people liked the first, but I think most people kind of felt like despite an open ending, everything that needed to be said was taken care of and no further sequels were made. That was my take on it at any rate. I really enjoyed the first, and even went back to play it a second time to see all the alternate choices. However I never wanted to play the sequel, despite most reviews saying it was better. And as it is, I don't think I know anyone who did play the sequel, or were at least finished it.
iBuyPower has released images of its Steam Machine prototypes which it hopes to launch in 2014.
The firm has two models – codenamed Gordon and Freeman – which are identical in specification, with only the casing setting them apart. One model is clear/white, while the other is black when not illuminated by a central ring of light.
Internal components aren't confirmed, but iBuyPower says both with run all Steam titles in 1080p at 60 frames per second.
Expect more info at CES.
