Damn. Best Buy has a PS Vita w/ 8GB memory card bundle on sale for $169.99. I have a bunch of free Vita games on my PS+ account. I am soooo tempted. But I have already spent way too much money this month already.
I've been playing:
Super Mario 3D World - and here's a quick screengrab of what I have officially dubbed the funniest in-game message I've ever seen in a Nintendo game.
And I've spent a little time with the Mysterious Cities of Gold and Hometown Story (when the fucking game doesn't feel like crashing on me).
I just tried the demo for Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed U. The demo is pretty good. Anyone here play this game?
I probably finished The Last of Us last week? And started The Swapper?
Barely played anything, though: how wonderful life is without video games.
I just can't get over how gorgeous Wind Waker looks in HD. It looks like a brand new Wii U game, not a remake of a decade old GCN one. We need more cell shaded games.
I enjoyed it. Not quite Mario Kart, but very good especially at the discounted price you can likely get it at. The track designs were great, and did a hell of a job of paying homage to a lot of classic Sega franchises. The one thing I didn't like was that to advance you had to do "challenge" levels. Drive through rings, time trials, stuff like that. The online on the Wii U was FUBAR'd but I think that may have applied to all version. Anyway, pick it up when you can.
The demo had tracks based on Panzer Dragoon and Golden Axe. Both looked amazing! I sat there for a while just watching the camera fly over each level. Looks like it's about $25 now. I'll pick it up soon then. Thanks, Robio.
Im on a plane right now, I have been playing Zelda.
I regret selling my copy. I was under a false assumption that Mario Kart was going to be released a lot quicker than it was, and wanted to trade it in while it still had some value. I may still go back for it one day.
Robio make me some ghost miis on Mario so I can race them.
On the topic of weird Nintendo internet features, how the hell am I ever going to try out that Zelda shadow link thing. Its impossible to find anyone to share with. That stupid shit right there is part of the reason of Nintendo's issues with selling the Wii U.
I'm playing the phenomenal Zelda and jealous of all you guys that are playing Mario.

No prices but they have what will be up. I may think about MH3, Lego Marvel and Dead Space 3 if super cheap. SUPER cheap, like $10.
Leo that bottle comparison pic is hilarious. Oh and I redid the shadow level in mario, pahrana plant item is fantastic!
I've been playing mostly Dota 2 (again) and a bit of KOTOR, which I left after doing my thang at Tattoine. Still have a ways to go with that star map thingie.
FM5's pricy car in this screen.
How much money would it take to get all those tokens? Credit system earned in-game would take you fucking AGES to yield enough to buy that car.
Do it!
Beat Resistance 2 and Papo and Yo.
Kept playing the amazing Driver: San Francisco (now on chapter 6 of
.
Started Metro 2033 and The Swapper.
Failed to remember controls for Saint 4, will try again when I have the energy and instruction book in front of me.
I played Deus Ex Sunday, my pics are in the Miiverse thread
Eurogamer did an article on this. How publishers are looking over to the free to play model and are copying stuff like micro transactions into payed for games. It seems that Forza is one of the biggest sinners here, as you still have to unlock cars you buy as DLC in-game. So that's $60-$65 for the game? Then some more money for a season pass or the individual cars, and then you either have to save up in-game by grinding, or you can just buy some more credit.
There should be some form of regulation, where games have to clearly mention that they include microtransactions as a way to bypass grinding.
