As they say, Silicon Knights really haven't made all that many games even thought they've been around a long time, and ED is by far the most popular game and highest quality game they have ever made, outside of Legacy Of Kain which they do not own the rights to. Nintendo is going to need exclusive games like ED on their new console, fans have been asking for it for years, and really, Silicon Knights need their next game to be a high quality product with an audience...something they are good at. Its do or die for them on their next game IMO. What better time could there be to work with Nintendo again on the sequel to the best game you've ever made?

ED was good, not sure it was that-amazingly-good. Or that successful.

What's interesting is that Nintendo still has shares in SK and someone else is making Legacy of Kain games. And one of the programmers CVs says SK has a Wii U devkit and is working on a game. It's interesting to think that they would do another one. What form do you think an HD Eternal Darkness game would take? I'm guessing fixed camera angles would be out and combat might be more of a focus. Using the Wii U screen as the book would be cool.

I am guessing Final Fantasy VI 3DS.

Was thinking of getting it, although for 40 bucks and only a couple of compatible games I am reluctant.

I actually like it with the CC sooo much better. Having full control over the camera using the right stick (rather than the painful digital pad) completely outweighs the slight awkwardness of having the d-pad directly below the left (movement) stick. You don't have to constantly use the d-pad and the left stick together, I find it completely natural to move my character into position, then choose his/her moves. It becomes second nature after a few minutes.

Dont listen to him, it makes combat a pain since you can move and choose your actions at the same time. That said you can sleep through most of the combat so what am I complaining about. If an analog stick to control the camera is worth $40 for you go ahead.
