As I was saying, no other relevant Wii games this year.
Its easy to make numbers become fastest selling. Its selling very well but I wonder how it will sell in the long run. Should still be a 4 million or so though.
Huh, Batman is probably better than Gears. And their awards are mostly right.
Its not an MGS game, so you cant think of it as a sequel.
You know what? I finished Batman last night. It's kinda not.
Don't get me wrong, Batman IS amazing --BUT-- something about the story, the way it progressed and the way that it ended, left me feeling a bit unsatisfied. Gears has DLC, Co-Op, Horde Mode and Online going for it that will long outlast people's enjoyment of Batman.
...and call me old-school, but I am one of those that believes a console's GOTY should be exclusive to THAT console.
That last point is fine but Batman is probably the best game of the year. So yeah.
WW is the best bet.
Which is wonderful. There's very few games that accomplish that feat. I think the series is in good shape.

Why is Pushmo (game title of the year) stupidly changed to Pullbox in Europe? How stupid. This is worse than when they renamed Elebits to Eledees.

I Know its not a MGS game, but its still a METAL GEAR game with a character that came from the SOLID games, and Metal Gear games have always been about stealth.
Exclusives are not always the best games on a console, especially these days. I think Sands of Time was the best Gamecube game of 2003, and almost every year the best game on the PS3 is a multi-platform game.
Speaking of Stealth based games that have totally changed, how are you liking Splinter Cell 5 Dvader? I personally think Chaos Theory shits on it.
Almost killed him? It shows that you never trained man. Those chokes are harmless, they cut your blood supply to your brain and it makes you faint. You need to hold them much longer before any actual brain damage occurs.
Wow at Jones. He just fought 4 times in a single year and he finished all opponents. Machida actually made it a fight and had Jones flustered for a second. But once Jones took Machida down by pressing him against the cage it was all over. A counter that dropped Machida and a choke that put him to sleep. MMA fighter of the year, it is not even close. I never see a single guy dominate and finish his opponents like that, not even Fedor back in Pride. The dude just needs to beat Rashad and Hendo and he has cleaned out his division. I hope he moves to Heavyweight, there are challenges for him there. He submitted a black belt Brazilian Jiu Jutsu guy, mindblowing.
Nog vs Mir, what a shame. Nog had it, he just needed to keep punching and the ref would have stopped it. But the submission that Mir performed was one in a million and he did it against one of the best grappler in history. To come from that position of being choked to reverse it to a position of a submission during a scramble is very very impressive. Feel bad for Nog, he looked good standing.
Lil Nog looked really good against Tito. Vicious blows to the body, ouch.

Well I guess I'm done with Rage. Just came across a stupid door glitch at the end of the mission Dead City Streets very similar to the one below....and I would have to replay like 2 hours of game to get back to where I am now if I started from a previous save and there's a chance it may just keep doing this anyway, as apparently this game is insanely buggy. So fuck it...I'm moving on.
What I played was probably a 7.5ish FPS up to this point. A mix of Borderlands and Fallout but not as good as either.
Yeah I'm digging Pushmo too. I'm ont he 98 puzzle and finally came across one that's got me stumped. It's stumped in a good way though, never the "there's no way to solve this" as some puzzle games can get.
As far as the name change I don't get it either, though I remember a while back Nintendo was forcing some strange rules for a lot of DSiWare to have different names in Euorope than it did in America. That was causing developers a lot of problems because they had to brand their games with two different names, and increasing costs and effort. Not sure what the story is this time around.
