It's more to the point of the prevalence of piracy/ modded-systems that it would be natural to send out such a nonchalant e-mail.

Okay a lot of you know probably know how obsessed I've been over NightSky (aka the Night Game) that was announced for WiiWare nearly 2 years ago now at E3 2009.  This game if you still don't know what I'm talking about:

Anyway, there was a brief discussion about WiiWare this morning and I got sort of worked up about the game again so I went to YouTube to scour for any new videos and I saw one uploaded last month, and proceeded to get a sucker punch of sorts.  The game HAS been released. It got released a few weeks ago for the PC. Apparently the developers Nicalis, switched gears without announcing it anywhere and decided to go with a multi-platform release with the PC being the lead platform.  A WiiWare version is still on the way (maybe), along with possible others (probably iPad or mobile game).  This is just another piece of evidence that suggests that WiiWare has in all likelihood been a bit of a failed experiment I'm said to say.

On to happier news, a free demo is available on their site - http://www.nicalis.com/ alongside the full version, and it's a fairly healthy demo at that. I checked it out and it's okay. It pretty much just feels like a good quality flash game, and that's about it. It would be better on a console or even handheld where you have a controller to map the controls to as opposed to a keyboard. Still the music is pretty good, so it's worth a free download.

Saying PC gaming is dead is not an opinion. An opinion would be "I'm not into PC gaming at all" or "PC gaming is not for me" or similar. Calling it dead is just dumb. And if you do it for the reactions then it qualifies as trolling. It's always been and always will be easy to troll though. Nintendo vs SEGA vs Sony vs Microsoft etc.

@Robio, yeah, I haven't been into Nifflas' stuff since Knytt Stories really, his recent efforts are a bit too "I wish I had made money from my awesome free stuff, I'll try and sell them with a twist" or something. I can't blame the guy, but I can't really enjoy those either. I think an actual Knytt sequel with his all put into artistic expression and expanding the features of Knytt and Stories together would be more worthwhile. Why don't you get a controller for your PC? With a bluetooth dongle and some fiddling you can use your Wii controllers. Or get a wired 360 pad and have proper native support in most recent games. I'd prefer my Wii stuff but I don't wanna drain their batteries further. I played Cave Story on PC with it before the WiiWare release for example.

It's a little silly, but I try to do everything I can to keep from playing games on my laptop, and a controller would not help that. I work from home, and I fend off enough temptation from just going downstairs or across the hall to kill some time with the Wii or PS3.  Having a real gaming PC of any kind would just be a disaster for me and make me completely unproductive.

I'd be playing that now if not for Darksiders. I read a big feature on the game last month (an old Play magazine).

And another point. In football you have England and Scotland as seperate teams. Why does the same not apply for Tennis? Why the fuck are the English cheering for a Scot? This is just wrong and so many levels. It must be a sign of the apocalypse.

Exactly, but he does play more agressive at times in earlier rounds, but as soon as it comes to the final that goes out the window.

They can go back to hating him now until he gets to the next final, though.

Well I remmember a review saying you could get 40 hours from it, but I can't remember if that was Y1 or Y2. That's still very limited compared to Y3 given that I put in over 70 hours in, and probably could have easily made it over 100 if I wanted to keep trying to 100% it.
