Agreed.  I think personally i unofficially made that decision when reading reviews and impressions of the US release.

One of the most disappointing letdowns for me is Crystal Bearers. I thought it showed a lot of promise. I can't believe it was four years in the making!

The guys who developers Crystal Bearers must really be out of touch with the RPG audience and lack the talent to make a good game. With all that money Square-Enix has, you'd think they'd make a good game.

Well it did get some decent reviews. The best reviews though usually fall in the 7.5 - 8.5 range, but then you have a load of mediocre reviews too. Seems you get most out of it if you experiment. I will be interested in at least trying it.

This year is pretty awesome, but mostly due to Nintendo with mario, zelda, metroid, endless ocean and the new rpgs.

You can't make this stuff up. "We've just had some shocking news from an inside source at Nintendo: Sonic will be a playable character in Mario Galaxy 2! Wha?" says the mag, which adds the info is "from a trusted source".

This is so fucking horrible, I don't want that blue menace polluting pure mario games. Sonic should not be propelling his popularity of the back of mario's quality. First he's in Mario and Sonic, then sega try and copy mario tennis, then they try and copy mario kart and now the fucker is going to be in Galaxy 2? Fuck no!

According to a Tweet from NGamer magazine, Sonic will be a playable character in Mario Galaxy 2.

If that horrid news is true, I will personally ban Vader.

It is bad, Sonic is basically Sega's attempt of making a Mario, but with attitude. This "thing" should have died in the 90s like all the other crappy characters with attitude.

In all fairness I think Sega ditched the idea of Sonic having attitude or any other personality a while ago.  Again I wouldn't be offended by him in the game.  In fact I would actually go so far as to say the one thing that I think was lacking in Galaxy was different ways to play it. If you have another character with a different set of controls it could make some of the levels completely different. Luigi was a good start, but I'd like to see it go a little farther more along the lines of SMB2.
