it's a very enjoyable, laid-back platformer with some really clever puzzles in its later stages.

yeah. It isn't as niche as some games(zack and wiki) but the flight game genre isn't like it used to be either. Oh well, good month for me. I've been waiting for this and fatal frame since they were released in japan. Let me know if you have any questions about it.
where do you stand on tatsunoko at present? there's about 5 so far who are getting it. early reports and reaction seem generally very positive, including online multiplayer
the wii is definitely having its best month in a long while
about skycrawlers, the truth is i've never seriously played a cockpit view space-shooter/air-fighter and it makes me a little nervous. i should watch some youtubes.

I can't believe some of the games you guys dodge buying and then you all gang up and buy Taksukono en masse? WTH?
At least with a blockbuster you can understand it being popular.
we're all niche-nerds pretend
uncharted 2 and assassins creed 2 are selling millions regardless and they will be less than half-price before long. every copy of tatsunoko sold counts.
maybe, just maybe ... 3rd parties will take notice that a game made with high production values, attention to detail and tender loving care is selling well on the god-forsaken wii. that is provided it does sell well.
also on a less altruistic level, it's a great 2D fighter with robust and lag-free online play. there's a ton of potential there

Even if it did sell well, Capcom would just start porting every f****** fighting game they've ever made and put it out full price

Yes, but not to Wii.

I'd like to think that Capcom might be more willing to listen to fans if this game does well. TvsC was not intended to go worldwide, but fans demanded it. If it sells Capcom could possibly say, "maybe we're better off listening to what the Wii owners actually want." If it does fail though then they'll have every right in the world to keep on their current path of porting whatever crap they want.
For the record though it is a fun game. I got to spend some time with the Japanese version back in October and I was very impressed. Lot of fun.
Not really my thing, fighting games.I'm unfairly biased probably. I remember when they came in and took over the arcades similar I guess to all the madden people showing up on consoles. I've had fun playing friends but just never got into them.
wow - never played a cockpit view space-shooter/air-fighter before? And x-wing/rogue squadron etc used to be so popular.
First day of work done, plus I have done some updates!
After Spyborgs, on rails games, GC and PS2 ports and Chop Till you Drop, they don't really have any right to do anything.
Is it wrong to laugh at Dark Void? I take pleasure in Capcom USA's failure, French boss blames wii for Darkside Chronicles, let's see him blame PS3/360 for Bionic Commando or Dark Void. Let's see him try and back up Spyborgs and complain about sales.
Love the colour and how they've toned down that bloom. Looks very rich now.
