it's a very enjoyable, laid-back platformer with some really clever puzzles in its later stages.

Sweet!!
Not too far. I'm still at the Twilight Cathedral. Didn't have too much time with work and distractions. Also, my recent illness (that blog I wrote about) just took me out of everything. I didn't feel like playing anything for the past week.

Got to brush up on my Ryu with SFIV!
Although the Mega Man characters will be my main for TvsC!

If it helps - Zero is a fucking BEAST. So, so awesome to play as. Had to fight back a fanboy "FUCK YEAH" when I played as him.
Trigger isn't bad, though I also haven't tried Roll.
Also, Glory of Heracles. Worth a shot?
Sounds like Zero is awesome!
And Glory of Heracles is a solid JRPG. It's not going to revolutionize anything but it's good. What sets it apart is the Greek mythology behind the game's story. It's like Fire Emblem becoming a JRPG with a story based on Greek Myth.
I personally like it but it may be a love it or hate it thing. So I say try it out if you can before you buy.

I was using one yesterday for the first time, it really is a great controller. I wish NSMBWii supported it.
You are counting me as one of the people getting it, correct?
That's awesome. I only played the Japanese version and he wasn't included in that. I'm planning on spending a lot of time with Ken the Eagle since Battle of the Planets was a fairly regular show for me once upon a time.
Ah. OK then. Stay out of my Forum Topic then as I am nearing the end and I know how you feel about Spoilers. Suffices to say my initial excitement has lasted throughout the entire game, and has been one of the best playing experiences for me this generation.
Can all the characters jump on each others shoulders and do that spinning tornado thingee...?
Actually no I wasn't including you. I didn't know that you were, but as one of the very few people here that I've played online against in the past, I'm quite pleased to hear this news. Sounds like we'll have a pretty good group to play with here. We'll have to schedule some play-time once everyone gets aclimated (so that ultimately everyone can kick my ass and remind me just how awful I am at fighting games).
Solid, but mostly unremarkable. The spells have little touch-screen, mini-games associated with them to power them up. The stylus control is pretty accurate. The battle system has it's clever moments. I find the humor kinda anachronistic though; doesn't fit with the setting of the game. It's worth playing pretty much because there haven't been many traditional JRPG's lately, but only if you are looking for THAT specifically and you have nothing else to play. I'd say hobo it, but Nintendo games never go down in price.
So. You, me, Ask, Yoda... and who else?
Bugs managed to hobo it before release

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileBugs has it preordered, though I'm not entirely sure when he'll be getting his copy or if we'll even be able to play with him Someone else mentioned that they planned on picking it up too, though now I can't remember...
...but then again, GG and Steel trade Animal Crossing stuff, so maybe it's a developer's choice.
IGN: "Not only is there random battle across region and worldwide matchmaking, but the ability to add friends via code (or add a rival you played previously with no code necessary) is also included."

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileOooooh nice to see Capcom FINALLY used some fucking common sense when developing this game and even went a step further and ignored Nintendo and abandoned the friend codes.
Also for those wondering about the game's sales, it is on pace to break into Amazon.com's Top 25 games. That almost always means the game will move a quarter million copies. If it can hang around there for any sustained length of time it will probably break half a million.
For my own amateur analyst opinion, I do see the game doing at least half a million in North America. Good advertising, positive reviews, and strong placement on the websites of retail stores like Gamestop.com and Amazon.com suggest that there's already demand for the game.
You know I'm looking forward to the God of War comic book. Video games have been all over the comic book world lately. Halo, World of Warcraft, Mass Effect, etc. Unfortunately most of the haven't been real good, at least in the minds of comic fans. I'm sure Halo fanboys still found stuff to enjoy about the Halo comics.
However I think the God of War comic actually deserves higher expectations. Unlike most video game characters, Kratos has proven to be a very interesting character. Not particularly likeable, but fleshed out with an interesting story. I'd go so far as to call him the best single character of the last generation of games. In the hands of a good writer this could be an excellent book.
