I'm a little baffled at how exactly Nintendo promotes individualism. By telling everyone that they should buy Pokemon?
Are you talking about Blackley?
He used to be a totally awesome guy, and one of the cooler people on Gamespot when I first started hanging out there. But these days, every time I see him post I just want to tell him to shut the fuck up.
He's like Mr. Politics these days...all overly serious and seemingly needing to touch a pair a boobies badly. I mean take a chill pill bro; nothing you ever do or say is going to matter or change shit. And he always seems like he's trying to start arguments for the hell of it. I really don't know what his issue is, or what happened to him over the past few years to become such a bitter guy.
The French agreeing with the Germans. I guess Italy will be next, then Japan. :shakes head:
He was up to his third on Sunday so he's probalby up to his fifth now.
We get free shipping here. $75 is about £42? Sounds okay, if they dont charge shipping.
Just checked again, on the tracking system it says: Wii Minor Fault (£0.00) : Operating System Scrambled Graphics.
Am I going to get a free repair?
That's what I was thinking
Nintendo also "promotes violence". Yes Mr Chavez. Yes.... lol.
Where's Bugs?
Is this how it was in Greek mythology?
- three week TV campaign kicks off today
- two different strands highlighting the capabilities of the Wii and the DSi
- push for retailers to better explain digital features of both platforms
- Wii ads to focus on BBC iPlayer, DLC for Band Hero, and Bonsai Barber
- DSi ads to focus on Facebook, Little Bit of Brain Training DSiWare, and Dictionary 6-in-1
The Wii ad focuses on the BBC iPlayer, downloadable content for Activision’s Band Hero, and the exclusive WiiWare game, Bonsai Barber
- Nintendo UK website to feature bitesize tutorials explaining how to get online and access the different features on both formats
- new retailers leaflets
- POS flagging up the availability of Nintendo Points
“WiiWare and DSiWare are not threats to retail. We don’t believe today’s packaged business will simply be replaced by electronic distribution. Titles like Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart and Wii Fit will always work best with the big launch presence that only a retail environment can provide. WiiWare will work alongside retail. It is not a replacement.” - Online manager Polly Sherrard
They're about two years too late for this. 2008 would have been the ideal time for this when Brawl and Kart were both launched with pretty big online components, as well as when WiiWare was making its debut too. Still better late than never.
Got to wonder why NOA isn't pushing this as well. It would certainly fare well for my little company.
The advert last night was pretty weird, seeing it I mean. It was primetime for a start. I think the bigger problem they have is getting people connected. It's pretty easy IMO but some people, ya know?
I can absolutely, totally confirm now that this game is actually, truly a prequel to the events in Phantasy Star II ! ! !
...Which is awesome 'cuz that was the best of the four original PS games!
If they are going to such pains to tie the original games with the events of PSO... does this mean they are setting the stage for something new?!?!
RPG or MMO... BRING ON MORE PHANTASY STAR ! ! !
How about no?
Have you ever played a Monster Hunter game Leo? Does it rip off PSO?
Yeah it's always kind of amazing to see much of a problem people have setting up a simple wireless router, but not everyone is so technologically inclined. Most of the Wii's audience in particular probably falls into that group.
Personally I was a big fan of the program that the UK was doing where you were rewarded by helping friends get online. That seemed like a good incentive to get people to help one another out.
