I found that free radical sw battlefront info interesting
Rebellion did know that Free Radical Design had been working on the next-gen versions of the game since 2006. Nevertheless, they tried to get their own deal for SW Battlefront III on Xbox 360 and PS3, promising lower costs and a faster development. They pitched different PS3/Xbox 360 prototypes using their PS2 version as a foundation while using FRD's assets which were provided by LucasArts.
but of course
Still, we might not even get Star Wars Battlefront 3 for Xbox 360 and PS3 from Rebellion. Although they promised low production costs and a tight deadline, the targets set by Rebellion's management were impossible to fulfil. It was intended that the developers who were already working on the (not that great) PSP and PS2 versions would also start development on next-gen versions. Problem was that there were not enough "human resources" and not even Rebellion's developers are able to work 24 hours a day in order to meet agreements made with LucasArts.
Figures. I worked for a comic book place once, same thing. Managers overpromise to get a project and then whip the employees to meet their crazy deadlines.

That's just management period. Managerments' sole jobs are to overpromise so that the employees can suffer and work themselves into insanity. Because insanity, as we all know, is much easier to control than sane logical people.
Blood of Bahamut does look good, but I doubt I'll ever touch it. I'm tired of RPGs and other long games on handheld systems. I know the Japanese market is all handheld-centric these days, but if I have to play a game for more than 20 hours I want to do it looking at a large screen television.
That's probably the one real thing the PSP has on the DS that matters to me. Television compatibility. Unfortunately there just aren't many PSP games I want to play.
The other gods are mocking me I tell you.
Pusuit Force is a good racer if you can get it. Has a nice twist where you can jump from vehicle to vehicle and the races are story driven. Might be more attuned to twitch handheld gaming, and should be dirt cheap by now (it was an early release).
BoB has been on my wishlist forever, can't wait for it.

Right now there are literally 5 PSP games I want, and two of them are actually just remakes. So I'm going to hold off for another year or wait and see if the PSP Go ends up being worth a damn.
Holy Hell!!! The new Tiger Woods features Frisbee golf. That is so cool I'm at a loss for words.
i saw some footage of that the other day. i wasn't even aware of the concept of frisbee golf prior to that. looks awesome
Frisbee golf is the quintessential drunken college game. It's much better when you're making up your own course too. Golf courses are too clean to play on. It's better in the middle of a busy campus where you run the risk of hitting a person or throwing it into a fenced area, and the "hole" you've chosen to target is a really nice car that jackass' rich daddy bought him.
The rumors about the Xbox getting motion control are moving out of rumor territory and into early leak territory. The E3 presentation should be lollerific.

. . . not that I ever played it like that.
... this is the only way to play. My friends and I always used real frisbees and played in of the state parks where we had trees, cliffs and waterfalls as hazards, as well as random hikers and whatnot.

You're thinking of fear. Insane people are usually quite hard to control, thus gaols and mental asylums.

The only problem I have with a camera is that I need something physical to hold to attach me to the game world. Otherwise its like being a kid and hooking your finger to pretend you are firing a gun.

And it's all on a tiny screen. Fuck it.
Sometimes the best way to get someone's attention is to lower your voice to a whisper.
Does the size of a screen limit your imagination?
Some of the best RPG's I've played in the last decade have been on a portable.

That is horrible to me. Rebellion used FR's assets and dumped their old PS2 code as a foundation. Nastiness. I feel bad for FR. Once Lucasarts canned the Force Unleashed team before the game was even out, that sounded some sort of policy change. Then Indy Euphoria game became PS2/Wii game. Krome became their defacto Star Wars guys and projects with ambition like FRs version of Battlefront 3 became casualties.

A. You're an ass for that.
B. Doesn't limit my imagination. It does however hurt my eyes to play for an extended period on a small screen. And that's why I'm not happy because there are some excellent RPGs that I'd like to play, but comfort always triumphs gaming for me.
