Holy shit RE5 for the 360 nearly pulls in 1 million on it's own just in the North American market. That's freakin' awesome! It's total sales are fantastic. Kudos to Capcom for crafting an excellent game.
Halo Wars did very well also and kudos to Ensemble for doing a very good job on this game.
Mario Kart Wii just keeps going and going and going. I think that's pretty cool to see. The game is just loads of fun and a total blast online.
Go WiiFit and fuck you all for bashing while not having played it at all.
Oh and big fuck you to all those "hardcore" gamers that failed to buy Chinatown Wars because it was on a handheld, or it had drugs, fuck you all.

I feel like my football team won a game or something, so happy to see RE be the premier franchise it was in the PS1 days. It sold 1.52 million in half a month, holy crap.
So Halo Wars did good not surprising. It outsold KillZone 2 which is at 621k now. So a RTS game on the 360 outsold the big FPS exclusive on the PS3. This continues the odd trend of third party multiplatform games constantly outselling the exclusive PS3 games. RE5 PS3 will probably outsell KZ2. CoD5 was selling more at this time than KZ2 did.
Pokemon, whatever. Wii Fit, whatever. Wii Play, not a game. Mario Kart Wii, whatever.
Wow so MLB the Show sold more than 2k, nice. In sports at least it seems like the quality exclusive won out.
I cannot believe GTA: Chinatownwars did not make the top 10, so it is at 200k probably. That is sad, its a fantastic GTA game on a handheld with a monster userbase. Good job guys, so much for any more mature games on the DS.
SF4 dropped as well, not really surprised.

I don't quite get this GIF. Though I can remember seeing an extended version where Redfield interferes with Weskers plan.
If it's not a Pokemon game, or a 'core' Nintendo game, it won't sell in America.
But if you put ANYTHING multiplatform on a 360, it sells through the roof apparently in the US.

I just got the PS2 version of RE4 to replace the Wii version, and boy am I noticing differences for the worse. Note that I have now owned all three console versions: GC, then Wii, and now PS2.
The graphical differences aren't that important so far, and they probably won't be, but the valuable items (such as spinels and beer steins) definitely look bad compared with their counterparts on the other two versions.
There's slowdown where there isn't in the other versions, and load times are longer.
Aiming.... Man, do I want Wiimote-like control for this! I haven't used the laser sight in so long, and it seems like the one in this version might be less precise than the one in the GC version, though I'm not sure about that. The PS2's controls sticks aren't as responsive as the GC's, so I find that aiming is more difficult than it is on the GC version. And of course, it's slower than what I've become used to on the Wii.
And that control stick issue translates into less precise movement, as well.
But perhaps what's bugging me the most is the audio. Almost every sound effect that doesn't occur in a cutscene sounds really muffled, and I think I noticed a difference in the music, too. For good measure, I popped in the GC version (which pretty much sounds like the Wii one), and confirmed my suspicions.
Man, I didn't know there was this much of a difference! How do the aiming and movement feel in RE5 when compared to these descriptions?

That's really quite unforunate. I'd have thought it'd sell more.
So that's official then? Keep in mind it was released on the 19th of March so only had a week of sales.
I should get the PS2 just for completist reasons, but man, that's some curiosity to actually play it on a PS2. I'm not even sure I'd replay the GC version at this point.
