3rd! Yay! Anyway this weekend I finally got around to picking up Halo Wars. Woo hoo! I grabbed that Limited Edition version since it came with the Halo 3 map pack I was going to get anyway plus it comes with a hardcover graphic novel, a Spirit of Fire patch, a unique in-game vehicle, and 6 leader cards. It's also in a very nice tin case for the game, the extra content is nicely packaged and they're both in a nice plastic sleeve. It's a very cool package all around. So this weekend I've been "Haloing" it. Tryed the new Halo 3 maps which are quite nice and fun to play on and have played through several missions of HW and am having a great time with the game. The RTS controls work very well, the cinemas look excellent, and the game is quite fun. Once I go through campaign I'll check out the online game which should be very fun as well.
In case people don't notice it has the back boxart of "Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition" a game that returned to its roots and ego after a terrible predecessor, similar to this years E3.
One of the site's forefathers.
And yet, the ESA still won't let the public into the event.
Fucking morons. They're missing out on a LOT of money.
So what have y'all been upto/playing?
Yeah, this is gamespot we're talking about after all.
Yeah, what's keeping them from going the way Leipzig or Tokyo go? First couple days only press and industry, the rest general public. Everybody wins.
Stupid shitheads, the entire show would mean nothing without the frothing anticipation and mindless hype of the thousands of sweaty, ass-smelling dudes that ejaculate at the mere thought of licking the urinal that Miyamoto, Kojima or CliffyB just used.
In what language?
Monday morning already ¬_¬
How's things? I played PSO this weekend (GC version)
How'd everyone else waste their weekend?
If you guys don't mind, and after the initiation proccess of what ever horrid tasks you lay down before me, I'll have to slap my friend codes up on the site to harrass you all further
Musceling in, is how I started to post way back. That is how you are supposed to post. And there is no initiation process.
What a relief!
Hey. We've all known each other for years, from Gamespot. We are like all the nice people who left and some with dual net lives. That's why we're all so friendly and you get the in jokes.
It's great to see new people as long as they're friendly and funny, which you seem to be.
Did you check out the Another world stories? I spent the weekend on Animal Crossing and Madworld.
Edit: BTW we only have 5 European posters including yourself and one is currently AWOL. So if it seems like there aren't many guys to talk to, remember that the Americas are 7 hours behind us
So you'll wake up the next day and find that they've posted. Evenings are best to catch them post 7pm UK time.
What kind of story link is there to the FPS games?
BTW now that SD cards have been unlocked I was going to install the mario kart channel again. We need to have a match sometime. Get your codes into the online thread. I dont know how much you've used the channel yet, but its really cool, you can see all your friends times and challenge them and even see who's online playing without having the disc in.
Same for GTA.
Thanks Vader. I know there were NES Metal Gears and such but I only count the games from MGS 1 on Playstation.
That's pretty cool. It's June or July now?
I noticed the podcast but haven't had a chance to listen yet, but will when I can
I got it, only played it once online. Not my thing, online fragging. We have an online thread in the forum stickied, post your codes there.
Ours are in the first post.
I can play mario kart but I'm not sure of the time. Tuesday night would be better for me, probably 9pm. But weekends I can play pretty much anytime.
We have a podcast too: The press room, where you can hear most of our voices.
there was also my second playthrough of house of the dead overkill ... with another 3 friends (not multiplayer - just taking turns). one was my buddy i did the first playthrough with who totally loved it (and was the one asking that we played it again) ... of the other two both were impressed and one has sunsequently ordered it (the other one doesn't have a wii but he went on to say how much more he enjoyed it than he is currently enjoying RE5 on his ps3).
i'm really disappointed Madworld hasn't reached me yet. it was supposedly dispatched many days ago and i was really hoping i'd have it today but i just got home from work and there's nothing in the post. i pre-ordered Little King's Story and Blast Works so those are probably going to be my major games for april. oh and i downloaded super mario RPG on the virtual console as the only mario rpg i haven't played yet, so i can enjoy it in anticipation of Mario & Luigi 3

Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
I played the castle level in Madworld up to the wolf boss. After Asia town it seems strange. Not sure I like the Arena style levels.
Anyhoo, did the updates. Yawn.
Microsoft Linked to Sale of Motion Tech Firm
Motion detection technology firm 3DV is now entering a sales agreement with an unnamed third party, thought to be Microsoft.
For weeks speculation has mounted that Microsoft will be purchasing the Israeli digital camera technology company for around $34 million, though the platform holder has declined to comment on the matter.
3DV holding company Elron Electronics yesterday announced that it had “entered into a definitive agreement for the sale of substantially all of its assets to a third party.” This sale transaction is expected to close by the second quarter of 2009.
3DV has been designing its camera technologies for some time; its ZCams are said to be a far more accurate version of Sony’s EyeToy, due to the fact that the devices can interpret how far away a subject is from its lens. The technology had reportedly been used in “advanced defense systems”, and has already been described as superior – in terms of accuracy – to the Wii Remote.
Elron holds a 43% stake of 3DV systems both directly and through subsidiary firm RDC.
“Pursuant to the terms of the definitive agreement, following the payment of certain expenses, proceeds to be distributed to each of Elron and RDC is expected to be up to approximately $3 million and $4 million, respectively,” said the firm.
Since the deal hasn’t been fully cemented, Elron added that there’s currently “no assurance” that the transaction will be completed.
