Videogamer Assassin's Creed: Syndicate Review

The first 6 minutes are explanation of the starting 4 character's fighting styles. After that, you'll see the introduction of two familar Dragon Quest IV characters. This is VERY early in the game, so it really won't spoil anything...
Skip ahead to 6:35 if you want to see Gigantes. He's a sight to behold!!
Nintendo’s Next Generation “Nintendo NX” Will In All Probability Feature An AMD Semi-Custom SOC
Interestingly, all whispers point towards that semi-custom design as being Nintendo’s next generation gaming device dubbed “Nintendo NX” which coincidentally is pegged for a 2016 holiday launch, right around when AMD expects to start generating revenue from the upcoming semi-custom ramp mentioned above.
If Nintendo’s chosen semi-custom design is x86 based then any game that’s been released on either the PS4 or the XBOX ONE can be ported over to the new device with relative ease. Allowing Nintendo to jump in on the competition rather than form a niche of its own as it did with the Wii U. With a device that’s rumored to have “industry leading chips” which are “incredibly powerful” not only can Nintendo come out with a device that’s compatible with all the current and upcoming gaming titles, it can do so with hardware that’s potentially better than that of the competition. Something which Nintendo has struggled to achieve over several previous console generations but has the perfect opportunity to accomplish now.
This new family of 16nm GPUs is informally code named “Arctic Islands”. The new family will be based on AMD’s 3rd generation GCN (Graphics Core Next) architecture. Interestingly — despite the existence of three+ different iterations of GCN namely GCN 1.0 ( HD 7000 series ) , GCN 1.1 ( R9 290 series) , GCN 1.2 ( R9 285 and 380) and Fiji ( R9 Fury X, R9 Fury and R9 Nano) which is based on an updated GCN 1.2 design — according to AMD there have only been two generations of GCN so far. With the next major iteration coming next year in the form of the “Arctic Islands” family of graphics chips.
This graphics architecture will power everything from next generation mobile and desktop GPUs to APUs and semi-custom chips. There’s also strong evidence to suggest that Nindendo’s next generation gaming device “Nintendo NX” – which is coming next year – will be powered by an AMD semi-custom SOC. Making it a very likely candidate to feature AMD’s 3rd generation “Arctic Islands” GCN architecture.
Nintendo partnering with AMD, well there's some unexpected news. Haven't their last 3 home consoles all used semi-custom AMD GPU's?
Also, I hope that they'll try to get back in step with the rest of the industry in terms of hardware refreshes. There's no point in being the strongest current gen system for half a gen and then falling behind misserably for half a gen when PS5 and Xbox Pi release. Clean generational divides is one of the things that set console gaming apart from PC gaming, I'd hate for it to lose that.
Most changes seem for the better. The fact that my precious .52Gal didn't require tweaking only proves even further that it is in fact the ultimate weapon. Glad to see rollers being nerfed finally, as well as Krakens, even if only to a lesser extent. But why did they have to decrease ink resistance of my splash wall? So unfair!
I know I'm probably the only one, but I hope the NX is not some kind of home console/portable hybrid. Now, when sales of one of those two flounder, the other will keep the ship afloat. If both are one device, there is only one 'pillar' for Nintendo to lean on. I also think that it'll result in less software sold.

This is bullshit, they upped the nzap running speed by 11%, like that weapon needs help.
Oh joy, Splashomatic damage has increased.
Glad they sorted out the Splattershot pro, the ink really drains fast from that.
WTF, 20% increase in walk speed with the Dual squelchers?!!! Not sure that's going to be fair but I'll give it a whirl.
Oh crap they've nerfed luna blasters damage range, nice. I liked using the rapid one the fire rate is better now.
Glad those snipers are somewhat diminished. Darn they messed with the splash wall.
THEY NERFED THE INKZOOKA AGAIN!!!! AGAIN!!!! FUCKING THING IS HARD ENOUGH TO USE AS IT IS, LEAVES YOU VUNERABLE AND IS NEAR USELESS CLOSE RANGE OR IN ELEVATED POSITIONS AND THEY NERF IT AGAIN AFTER MAKING IT TAKE LONGER TO CHARGE IN THE LAST UPDATE? FUCKING TURDS!!!
Oh great, longer to charge the Kraken now. *sigh* And they have added in a delay after using it where you cannot attack.

Yeah, some of the already fairly powerfull standard guns got better, but the changes to blasters and rollers will at least do away with those irritating 'poppers' that would sit around and instakill you when you'd come closeby. As for the Kraken, they've only made it so that you can't immediately attack after innitiating it. Which also reduces the annoying cheap deaths. Same with rollers who'd throw around ink, basically using it as a farcically effective wide-range gun. Now every next throw of ink will do less damage than the one before.
Seems to me that most changes to main weapons were centered around getting rid of cheap kills, which is a-ok with me.
I'm good with the changes. If nothing else it seems to have thrown enough players off their game that I was able to battle back into a B ranking last night.
I'm on the fence. Was hoping there would be something resembling a playable single player campaign.

Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
I'll be passing on Zelda, at least for awhile anyway. Too many other games I'd rather get coming out.

That is not the Zelda that I am looking for.
Can I interest you in a Droid then?

If no one here gets it, no.
I see.
How do you feel about these 2D multiplayer zeldas? They feel awfully off to me, pretty far from the Zelda experience.

I'm good with the Splatoon balance changes as well.
