Man, that OG Xbox. I remember reading someone's article in EGM complaining about the size. They were talking about how the GC had a handle but didn't need one, but the original Xbox needed two. So true.
Awesome game! Different from Transistor, but similar. Can't decide which I ike more. You should try playing Bastion first though.
I played the demo ages ago. I think I'll stick with Transistor first since I started it already. I even played a little bit yesterday.
Who's taking the hit and buying this one on behalf of the VGPress and comedy? I vote Vader.

I second that vote. Was thinking of buying it before recent previews/reviews but no. (Even it will probably have cult value and will change hands for a pretty penny a few years down the line).

Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
WTF?! Why isn't Onechanbara Z2: Chaos available for Xbox One? I'm so disappointed. I want this game!
Devils Third could be a good replacement.
No Strawberry Surprise outfit, no sale.
Apparently, my studio has an award for the person who brings in the most ad revenue for men's intimate apparel. Guess who won?
I took the picture with it standing straight up, but for some reason, when I downloaded it to TinyPic it came out like this. Almost looks like it has blue balls, no?
An award that not only looks great, but serves a practical purpose.
Errr...

KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC 2 PATCH 2015:
"It adds Linux and Mac support, courtesy of Aspyr Media, as well as Steam Workshop support, Achievements, controller support, native widescreen resolution support, 5K resolution support and cloud saves.
Most importantly, Steam Workshop support means the revered The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod is available via Steam, now. This mod effectively finishes an unfinished game, in a development sense, restoring all the dormant content found on the game's disc."
Oh my fucking word this is AWESOME! They just effectively made this a much better game than it already was, and made the PC version easily the definitive version to play. Now I REALLY want to replay the series. I wonder if they will do the widescreen and controller support fixes for the original game as well?
You know, its not even all about the power though. Its also about the vibe the systems give off...the feel it has, the strategy behind it all. Dreamcast and Gamecube were the last gamers consoles IMO. Systems built 100% to play games, and focused on giving you the highest fun factor and the highest quality innovative games they could. And of course Dreamcast kicked off the whole online console movement YEARS before the rest, which gave it that feeling of always being connected long before any other console. And Xbox was just such a beast of a machine, got all the best versions of games, and most importantly was really the system to open up western PC developers and franchises, whom today dominate the industry, to the console space on a large scale.
PS2 just gave off this vibe of kind of being an uninspired sequel to the original (which PS3 also felt like) that sold its first 50 million units on name brand and DVD playback alone, not the games. Because the games really didn't start coming until just before Gamecube and XBOX came out. I mean all 3 could have launched November 2001 and we really wouldn't have missed out on shit from the PS2.
I spent 90% of my time with the PS2 all the way up until fall 2001, playing PS1 games and watching movies. And I bet most people did. So again, it was cool and all but always just seemed so overrated compared to the others.
It's happening
That looks kind of cool.
I see your point.
I get that, though the first game I played on my first HDTV was GoW in HD and it was amazing. But yes Xbox and GC look cleaner, so what. That's taking something out of time, during its run PS2 was king for a reason. And most people did not have HDTVs yet. It looked fine. There was nothing like NG or RE4 (with gc level graphics) on PS2 but that is just a graphics thing.
I just felt like PS2 was the source of the biggest influencial games of that era. GTA is the most influencial game of this millenium so far, everything is open world now cause of what GTA3 started. DMC changed 3D action games forever. GoW kind of started this whole cinematic linear action adventure game movement for better or worse. It was home to the best fighting games. The best JRPGs. The best action games.
Played journey again yesterday, super boring, fell asleep while playing and still beat it. Then I played rocket league with Travo and had a blast, what a difference in games.
I guess, but wasn't GTA3 originally supposed to be a Dreamcast game? So many of those early classics actually started out as Dreamcast stuff before SEGA took the bullet. And I'd say Prince of Persia kind of started the whole GoW thing.
I just think its funny when people claim PS2 was top dog because of the games, when it was selling like hotcakes before it even HAD games. I still say that first year, people were buying it because it said "Playstation" on it, and because it was the best way to get a DVD player at the time. Also, despite the console selling so many more units than the competition, the VAST majority of the big titles didn't sell any better than the big titles on the other consoles...despite the fact that it sold, what, 120 million more consoles? That is INSANE. And that kind of shows that a good chunk of people just bought it because it was cool to have, or they wanted to watch some movies.
Didn't they only manage to sell like an extra million copies of RE4 over the Cube version, for example? Despite 120 million more people owning PS2 than Cube?
