This was in Hong Kong, a bakery with a giant Banyan tree growing out the side.
In Kowloon park, imagine it as like a parade of high quality anime statues. We ended up there accidentely and it was swarming with enthusiastic kids.
China is a souvenir hunters paradise, bring a spare suitcase and lots of cash
Yangshao is nice, a nice contrast with traditional or smaller buildings against close up limestone karsts.
This is a famous formation in Guilin, the Chinese seem to think you can see a white horse at the top and slightly to the right, just under it is a black horse.
There were some rather strange Police.... boxes I saw.
What do you need on the Bangkok MTR subway? A massive HD cinema screen of course...
The architecture of the Grand Palace in Bangkok is very very cool.
This is Jim Thompsons house near the centre of Bangkok, you weren't allowed to snap pics inside so I nabbed a few from the net. He was an American who saved the silk industry who mysteriously vanished in Malaysia.
To get some perspective of where the giant buddha is, check out this aerial photo I nabbed from the net
I found this daytime pic of the peak in HK since I was there at night. Might make it into a poster.

Is it me or are cross-gen games a new thing? The only cross-gen game that comes to mind from earlier generations is Zelda:TP. The only reason why they're around now is because publishers didn't feel comfortable with dedicating all of their resources to PS4/Xbone. This could stem from the fact that the generational leap isn't as clear as it was before, diminnishing returns, that kind of thing. Personally I think cross-gen games are a bad thing, as they fracture the market. People shouldn't complain. Either you buy in to the next gen early on, or you hold out and comb through the last-gen backlog.
Yes indeed.
I remember clearly an article whining about a lack of PS3 and 360 support at E3 in favor of the new consoles. It blows my mind because those systems have lasted longer than any previous era by far....I mean you literally have a backlog going back to 2005 to inspect. So is it really a big issue that actual new consoles are pushing them out of the picture almost 10 years later?
I'll be back on on 10 minutes if anyone is playing.
Sure. Just give me 4 or 5 hours...
Sunset Overdrive is quite a good and fun game but all I can think about right now is how much I want to be playing Dragon Age: Inquisition.
Play what you want, Archie. Life's short.
Indeed. DA:I it shall be.
Good, bad movies happen to be one of my favorite genres. I liked the movie a lot, turned me on to a Kurt Russell AND China. SO MANY one-liners, too. I won't be able to see China soon, but I'm thinking a trip to China town in San Francisco is in order.
Ancient Dragon: unbelievably boring pattern design...but with 1 hit kills!

Reggie is going to flog nintendo into his last job right?
Kind of a sad legacy for a PR man. I mean he had big foot, and then Nintendo JP telling him what to say for 20 years, then retirement?
Tomonobu Itagaki has said his Valhalla Games developed Devil’s Third is still on track for release next year.
News on the game has been rather slim since it was re-announced as a Wii U exclusive earlier this year at E3 2014 along with some game footage.
Yesterday, Itagaki took to his Facebook page to discuss how the game is progressing, and Gematsu translated the text.
Here’s some highlights:
So what's the spread between Xbone and PS4 in here? I never really considered getting an Xbone, but Media Markt is throwing in Sunset Overdrive and the Halo collection or GTA5 in for free with a white Xbone, which makes for a tempting proposition.
Valkyria Chronicles 2 was the right sequel on the wrong platform
This is quite true. The game improves on most of the features of the original, and most of it was in an effort to make up for the PSP's technical shortcomings. And the things where it legitimately came up short (the unfortunately multiple maps) were once again, due to the systems shortcomings. I've always compared VC2 as the little brother that can't directly compete with the older one, but tries to make up for it in so many other ways that you still have to give it a pat on the back.

I wouldn't expect anything less from SEGA.
