Well, I cloned my hard drive to my new SSD and a few hearthattacks later... Everthing is just the same as before. Windows will still freeze up on me when I'm opening or working in Autocad. I'm thinking it might be due to Autocad 2013 not having been tested on Win8.1. Bah.
Oh, and I broke my SATA connector on my second HDD as well while swapping drives in and out. It took me the kind of wit and dexterity that would make McGyver proud to get it to work again. I'll just need to remind myself to not store any important information there ever again.
Oh man aspro that is crazy. That is country wide? Could you imagine something like that happening in the states.
I feel dirty. I just registered myself at Facebook so I could make a professional facebook page. Blech. Think I'll shower once I'm done with this.
I felt that way when I signed up. The only reason I did was to
keep up with overseas friends who wouldn't be able to call.
Yeah, I'm also feeling very old all of a sudden. For something that supposedly one in 7 people uses, the interface isn't very intuitive to newcomers. The whole thing just keeps looping back onto itself. And having a professional page and a personal one (which I didn't ask for), doesn't help either.
I have had a page for a few months now to keep up with parties and raves etc. I don't use my real name or picture because I don't want people from work to be able to look that up even if I have all the restrictions enabled.

Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
I'm already regreting having made an account with my real name. Someone I knew befriended me 15 minutes after I registered and will now for ever wonder why I am such a recluce. I have zero interest in using Facebook for personal means. That and the fact that you apparently can't 'befriend' a company. You can follow it and like it though. Not that I know enough of these matters to really tell the difference. Good thing my wife can finally put that Facebook addiction of hers to good use. I'll soak up all the knowledge she can offer me of this strange and alien parallel universe.
By the way, Australian guys, the GameUnder podcast was a pleasure to listen to. Definitely missed it. And it was certainly fitting that the return show the most next-generationisty show you've done yet.
The only reason I have Facebook is to upload pics from my PS4.
The crazy bit is that it was ever showed to begin with.
Replaying TLoU and Uncharted 1 this week. Makes me wonder why I buy so many new games, when I often have more fun replaying old favorites.
I wonder the same thing so many times.
I wonder why I buy so many games when I have a large backlog and when I spend so much time playing online with Call of Duty and Forza soon to be replaced with Halo Collection, Destiny, and the next CoD.
Uncharted 1 plays like a dream with the PS4 controller; aiming is sooo much easier than with the DS3. I'm playing on Hard, and it feels too easy now. Surprisingly, the lack of Sixaxis hasn't hurt the game at all so far (balancing on logs). I do hope they re-master the series for PS4 soon; I'd drop $60 on that collection easy. Maybe they'll re-master the Vita game, and include it in the collection too?
EDIT: Grenades are a pain to throw without Sixaxis. Remaster it, Sony. DO IT.
Its funny how some games control great with a PS4 pad, and some like shit.
Turok, for example....I cannot play it with a PS4 pad because the left analog stick for some reason has huge dead zones if you try to move up/left or up/right. Turok just won't move at all like you're not even touching the controller. Actually Haze also, controlled like shit with the PS4 pad. Seems to be many of these older PS3 FPS games that have trouble with it.
When I switched over to my SSD from my Hard Drive recently, I couldn't believe how easy it was. I got a program with the SSD that cloned my stuff for me nice and simple, and it didn't even take that long.
I had a few issues here and there with some songs that didn't copy right and a few games that I had to reinstall...but no big deals at all.
I figure that uses a lot of bandwidth.
Yeah. Will have to consider. It's hideously expensive though and the only thing it would give me is a few MLB games (free tv here has most cable content I would want from the US -- and I don't watch much TV (other than real estate-related shows and mantiquing).
Facebook is evil. Only way to use is it (if you must) is with a pseudonym and "burner" e-mail address.
Thank you very much. I missed it as well, so hopefully Foolz and I can get better at co-ordinating.
Well we're not off to a good start there with my Big Show structure proposal ignored.
