Playing Heavy Rain now. This is almost as tedius and boring as Shenmue. I hope it gets better soon.
Heavymue is very boring. The only interesting thing I've seen so far was a fight between an old detective and some dude beating up a hooker. That fight only lasted about a minute, and now it's back to being tedious and boring again. *sigh* Why did I buy this?
Is Disgaea D2 basically Disgaea 5? Why give it an obscure number like that? Surely some inside joke lost on us outsiders. Or is it Darkness 2 because it's a sequel to the very first one?
This is up there among the top series of number of games bought vs played. I think I have 6. Played 0. I started the PSP version of the first one but it just seemed too dense.

Disgea 5 has not come out yet, it is in production. I don;t think it has been re-named D2, I thought D2 was something seperate.
I have all the ones that have been released in the west, played none. Mrs. Aspro played the first one on DS for over 250 hours.
I've been meaning to give it another go. Probably a good thing to play after GTAV is wrapped up.
Valve has made the game to end all games. It's only a matter of time before it consumes the universe.
2DS is only $148 down here. Thinking of getting that and Pokemony. Choices are white face with red back, or black face with blue back. Thoughts?
I like the red and white, but think black will be more practical.
I am not going to get one (barring stupid impulse online spending spree to alleviate depression) ... but if I did I would get the white and red one. It looks even more old school and like a toy which a lot of people hate about it I guess ... but I liked it when Nintendo products were like that (up to and including the gamecube and gba micro)

That's exactly what I meant.
I like the white/red one better. Black and blue are 'cool' colours, but no colour can make the 2DS seem suave. I think the white/red combo adds to the cheerful clunkiness of the design more.
Also, GBA micro didn't look much like a toy in my opinion. It's one of Nintendo's least 'kiddy' designs as far as I'm concerned.
I think it wasn't so much the design but more the fact that it was so tiny (and most of the cases were very colourful) and bright that made it seem like a toy to me.

What is this shit about Valve not developing games? This generation (since 2006) they have developed:
While consolidating, improving and constantly tweaking the biggest online games platform, as well as developing a fucking OS and entering the hardware arena with some interesting proposals. All with a team that is but a fraction of the manpower of the heavy players around. It's not Valve's fault lots of people only care about Half-Life, a metric fuckton more of people have spent countless hours on many of the titles I mentioned.
Is that IGA?
On this latest Wii U update, what they don't tell you in that article, is you need the Wiimote to play the Wii games might as well turn on the TV....

Bombsdropin at Nintendo. New Kirby for 3ds. PW5 demo today. New pikmin levels. But DK delayed.
When NIS announced they were working on a new Disgaea, everyone assumed it was Disgaea 5; it was actually Disgaea D2. It is titled the way it is due to being the direct sequel to Disgaea: Day of Darkness. It's basically Disgaea I-2.
If your wife played D1 for 250 hours, pretty much buy an additional PS3 now, as she will KILL any system with the new one. HUNDREDS of hours guaranteed!
Someone else --MUST-- play these games! I know Steel did a bit, but someone else here --REALLY-- needs to learn the greatness of this series!
I played Disgea 3 for a bit, but after abusing an exploit that eventually stopped working I got stuck. I want to try it again, but the problem is that I'm terrible at it.
Also, I've now unlocked online on Dragon's Crown, so if you or Hamster (you're both the only two that have it right?) want to do some co-op, let me know.
Iga could never be as badass as Phil Anselmo.
Yes it is...if they never made the game nobody would care about it.
