Quite looking forward to getting to play the good Nights game, and the Christmas expansion. I remember watching a friend of mine play it back in the day and it looked awesome in a surreal kind of way.
Maybe playing it will finally help me get over the trauma that was the Nights game on Wii

Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
Nights: Journey Into Dreams gets kind of a bad rap. The voice acting and those more traditional 3d platformer levels with the kids were terrible, but the flying levels and boss fights were pretty much on par with the original. People forget that the original NiGHTS was kind of a hit or miss game. So there's a chance you may not like this either.
38 Studios Auction listing. I can't wait for the photos to be posted. I remember when Acclaim's auction photo's went up.
MS has told them they cannot auction off the dev kits.

I had a complete double-take at the EA news. "Didn't this happen last year too?"
I had to check wikipedia. The last NBA Live games was released in 2009.
EA. Sports. Second year in a row cancelling a re-tooled NBA game for quality reasons.
Good on them for cancelling it, but also... who the fuck do they have on this project? They are EA for crissake!

Game Informer has more:
Today Game Informer learned from multiple sources that EA has canceled NBA Live 13.
This marks yet another blow to EA's efforts to make a competitive NBA basketball game. In 2010, EA cancelled NBA Elite 11 over quality concerns, and moved the project from EA Canada down to EA Tiburon. Instead of diving into the project immediately, the studio took until November of last year to ramp up its development staff. That late start undoubtedly hindered the development, as the showing at this past E3 was panned by many for its poor animations and AI. Since that time, EA has kept the game under wraps.
Though EA is throwing in the towel this year, it is not ceasing development on the license altogether. In a post on the NBA Live website, EA Sports executive vice president Andrew Wilson wrote:
"I'm disappointed that we have not yet met our high expectations with NBA LIVE, but I remain motivated about where we're going. We're committed to delivering new innovation in online, and our progress in the visual presentation of the game continues to take big strides. We also know that a great game starts with great gameplay, and this remains a huge priority for us."
While many applauded EA for not releasing a game that didn't meet its standards the first go around, this second gaffe could drastically drain consumer confidence in an already diminshed brand.
So I got a bunch of games on this trip. I got Silent Hill Homecoming, Deadly Premonition, Sonic Colors DS, and The Thing. Plus Avengers movie in 3D and a few comic books from that crazy awesome store I found. Nice haul. Honestly I was looking around many shops cause I was hoping some store had RE6 out early.
I just realized I have not been following game media at all. I have not seen ANYTHING on Halo 4 since E3, I know they did the giant blowout recently, I have not seen one screenshot nor read one article. I will be going into Halo 4 totally blind. Same with AC3, I havent seen much since E3. RE6 I also have not seen any videos since E3, I did play the demos though. Its not like I made some decision to avoid seeing lots of the game, its just sort of happened.
The NBA LIVE story is CRAZY. This is EA, the sports company and they cant get an NBA game off the ground. Wow.
^Yeah, no NBA Live since 2009. It will be a four year drought for them (assuming they can get a game out next year).
I am guessing they are going to debut it on the next PS/XB. Launching it on a new system at the start of the next generation will cover a lot of other flaws.
I can't believe they managed to let it slip for 2 years in a row. Condititions must be bad for it to have ended up like this.
Reggie on GTTV tonight. Reggie vs Geoff part... 3, 4?
You gotta put the Zombie face on that vader !
Yeah, why do we have to get that crap early when all the good games come out late?
Lordy.
Aspro, you should be more interested in getting the podcast crew high-end recording equipment.
Wonder what?:
